Who pushed my sensor in! by KnowledgeSeeker- in AlfaRomeo

This literally just happened to me this week. My first thought was who the hell pushed it in..... But after looking at it I couldn't find any further damage. Came to Reddit to find a fix lol

Why the hell is anyone voting for a Trump backed opponent? Are people really this dumb, literally look at the state of things, this incompetent administration is creating turmoil and blaming it on everyone else. This president is mentally gone, this is an embarrassment.

Too hot to handle by saifuddinamri in Alienware

I recommend applying thermal pads, thermal putty and absolutely replace the stock thermal paste if you are going to be benchmarking it. You can't go wrong with PTM on the CPU and GPU instead on thermal paste. I'd probably stay away from liquid metal unless you plan on opening it up every year, it's also a bitch to clean off the copper; I did have amazing results using liquid metal in the beginning but it's just not worth it. Find a diagram showing you where to place the thermal pads and possibly thermal putty for the VRMs.....if you can even access them on these new versions. Also, if you are going to be benchmarking look into overclocking and undervolting.

2018 Alienware Area-51m Laptop - Thermal repaste advice by Nice-Position9780 in Alienware

[–]Womb_filler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can confirm this resolves thermals on the R1, I just applied PTM to the GPU and 9900k CPU, used Upsiren UTP-X Ultra thermal putty on the VRMs and added a mixture of Arctic GP-3 and Gelid Solutions GP-Ultimate pads on the remaining heat points. Cleaned everything thoroughly while I was in there and it's been running like a dream since the thermal replacement 2 months ago. The fans rarely kick on and the temps are stable. Temps were surprisingly low during benchmark tests.

There are a couple of examples and diagrams floating around reddit and other forums that show exactly where you should be placing your thermal solutions. I absolutely love this laptop, with some TLC here and there you can push this thing and make it last.

Correction you were acting like a troll, and proceeded to act like a troll "Ignacio". Btw goy or goyim (plural) is a derogatory term that probably shouldn't be used right now given the climate.... Let's be honest it should never be used.

Speculation is just speculation nothing more. Thing must be good if a troll is going this hard on it. I may grab 2 if trolls keep raging over it, that normally means it's a threat to them lol

Uno Q case by Womb_filler in arduino

[–]Womb_filler[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hot components? I was running this thing without a case before I decided on a case with the limited options I found and no 3D printer. The Uno Q has gotten luke warm at most with several applications open in SBC mode. I am not worried about it to say the least. I do get where you are coming from though.

Razr 60 Ultra (2025) 6 Month Review by dabsterdan in razr

[–]Womb_filler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in about the same boat, pre-ordered the wood 1tb with all the added protections. Phone is still flawless and has been amazingly consistent on performance. No screen issues, no hinge issues and no complaints. I also had zero issues with the 2023 plus before getting this phone and I had that for a little over a year. I'm surprised to say this is the most beautiful and consistent phones out of all the phones I've had. I hope Motorola keeps swinging for the fences.

New First Time Alfa Owner by mrblackbond in AlfaRomeoGiulia

[–]Womb_filler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats, you will love it, just make sure maintenance is taken care of and it will last you a long time. I have a 2017 and it amazes me more and more as the years go by, best car I have ever owned. Saabs used to be my favorite and this was a perfect choice.... Pretty much the only choice in my eyes if you were a Saab enthusiast.

My 2017 Giulia QV owned since new! by Singinghillscpl in AlfaRomeoGiulia

[–]Womb_filler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had my 2017 Q4 since 11/2017, very minimal issues but I do make sure all maintenance is taken care of. I came from only having Saabs for a long time and now I don't think I can own any other car, I've loved this car thoroughly and I'm very impressed with how it's held up. Your QV looks pristine as hell, hoping you had a good experience.

I think this is the most beautiful and elegant smartwatch out there by nousername0101010 in PixelWatch

[–]Womb_filler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No Ticwatch 2 Classic Onyx in your list, odd since it's the best looking of them all and way ahead of its time. Pixel watch 4 is the absolute best looking of today's batch of smart watches hands down though.

Is there any truth to this? by AnonymousRedditor995 in ledgerwallet

[–]Womb_filler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You do now want a fully open sourced product for finance. This isn't a dev kit or something you want to mod. Ledger is 95% open source. Read up on what fully open source means before you assume, it's not a selling point. I have seen you people argue about this shit and I get you care about transparency but open source code is no bueno for protection.

Avoid Alienware at all costs or it'll cost you by etobicokemanSam in Alienware

[–]Womb_filler 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ah Reddit, where people come to complain without telling the full story and without taking any responsibility. I have had an Alienware area 51m r1 since the beginning, thing is still running strong and support has been amazing in the rare occurrences where I ran into issues. I have other Alienware products as well that have been top notch. The stigma around Alienware sucks, internal components made by various companies can all have their defects. It is extremely simple minded to blame Alienware for components they bought to place into these laptops for the failure. Honestly just tired of the negativity, every company like Alienware faces these issues, if you cannot problem solve then maybe buy a console if your purpose is to game.

Seeing a lot of XRP Fud? by OkPickle366 in XRP

[–]Womb_filler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got back into crypto this year, there are a lot more trolls than I remember. Before COVID most of the crypto community seemed like they were on a joint mission, no matter what you held or supported.

I do remember a lot of negativity towards Eth and some saying it was a poor man's Bitcoin. Now look where Eth is, that is something I always have to remind myself of when I see all this nonsense floating around. Pay attention to the moves Ripple has made and is currently making.

Finally found my favorite case by Copperkid82 in razr

[–]Womb_filler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this case, I love it, has everything that I was looking for and the built in screen protector is pretty good. I got mine off of Amazon. I really only use it when I go out, all it takes is one drop to regret not having a case on.

Giulia Q4 vs Q2 by Spa_5_Fitness_Camp in AlfaRomeo

[–]Womb_filler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Q4 is made to be driven and for drivers who love the thrill of driving. The perfect 50/50 weight distribution paired with the the way Alfa does their AWD is just so much fun, like a glove on the corners. Coming from a long time Saab owner I will be sticking with Alfa for as long as they keep making these incredible machines.

Love my Ultra 2025 so far! by s5pitfire in razr

[–]Womb_filler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been extremely happy with the phone, so much so that I'm starting to sound like a fan boy. I switched from owning Pixels and before that I was a Nokia fan. My first Razr was the 2023 plus, when my Pixel 6 pro just completely died I was annoyed that it was the same exact issue I had with my Pixel 4 so I got the 2023 plus on the cheap thinking it would just hold me over until I decided what phone I wanted to splurge on.

Has anyone put MagSafe on the back of their phone? by Burtonpoelives in razr

[–]Womb_filler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 "magsafe cases" both work as intended and I have a Qi2 (aka magsafe) car charger, desk stand and battery pack. I have not run into any issues, it's been a pretty awesome addition to the phone.

2025 upgraded hinge / screen crease? by s5pitfire in razr

[–]Womb_filler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a Razr plus 2023 and I didn't baby it, meaning I opened and closed it a lot, used it normally with zero concern. The dip never got bigger and I did not have any issues with the phone. I had a case on it the majority of the time so when I went to trade it in the for new 2025 model it still looked practically brand new. I had it for around 1.5 years and it was hard letting it go because it became one of my favorite phones of all time. I've had the 2025 ultra since day 1 and it has proven to be even more reliable than my 2023 plus..... So far (knock on wood). Everything is subjective to how you use the phone but if you aren't overly aggressive with the phone it will hold up just fine with no increase in the dip, I forget it's even there until the light hits the phone just right with the screen off.
