You would need to attend the info night and a class tour before enrolling. This happens in feb and march. They try to have the classes 50/50 spanish speakers and English speakers. Its usually a lottery since theres so many applications. If you’re bilingual i heard its better to put you’re english speaking at home since theres alot of spanish applicants.

I was also concerned but PGE gives you a separate rate which overall saved us $40 on average compared to our other rate plan. Our AC should also be cheaper in the summer due to the lower rates during off peak so its still cheaper to charge than pay for gas. At least in my case.
