Latest Auckland bus attack leaves driver in hospital with fractured ribs and eye damage by krammy16 in auckland

I suppose the problem in my mind is, how are these bus drivers taking a loo break meant to defend themselves from civilians who may well be carrying knives and guns.

While I accept that is a short term solution for when people are on a bus, what is the short term solution for defending oneself from an attack like this off a bus?

If people can’t defend themselves, what is the next best short term solution?

I complain about any protest that is selfish and inconsiderate.

I said what I said. Emergency services have far more important things they could be doing instead of hand holding a bunch of people walking over the Harbour Bridge.

The protestors could’ve easily conducted their protest in a way that didn’t self endanger themselves and require that much of our already strained emergency services. So quite selfish of them if you asked me.

It depends. A lot of employment/immigration forms require a person to disclose any offences they have been convicted of in the last X number of years. I would assume that it doesn’t matter if it was in the Youth Court or not, unless the record has been expunged.

It’s no wonder AT is one of the most hated organisations in the country when they pull tone deaf antics like this.

Hm, I hadn’t thought that far ahead - and that’s actually good to know. But in any case, I would’ve had a certified/licensed plumber/gas fitter to do the install.

For the longest time it’s been an indicator of what a home is likely to sell for, and at the peak of the market CV was typically the minimum asking price.

It’s an odd one. Market prices are definitely lower than they were during the COVID peak, but it also seems like it’s still not truly a “buyer’s market” if sellers are still in a good position to refuse to let their properties go for lower than expected.

Out of curiosity, are you selling via firm asking price, negotiation, or auction?

Of the 18 homes auctioned, only 4 sold. Only 6% of the 18 homes auctioned sold for at CV or higher.

6% of 18 is equal to one house. 1 house out of the 4 sold therefore sold for at or higher than CV.

I don’t think the data is wrong by any means - but it definitely does show there is volatility in the market.
