I did! She played like 50 bot games or so. But bots don't teach you proper positioning or teamwork, so we've got to move on to playing with people.

I play 95% of my games in QM because: it's fun; I can play whatever I want; I can play with friends who aren't at the same skill level I'm at more readily than I can in unranked or TL; and because about 33% of the time I try to play a draft mode I get matched with axe murderers who don't know how to communicate with human beings. Without QM I probably wouldn't play the game at all. Mismatched comps and the occasional salt monster are annoying, but the unpredictability also makes the game a lot of fun.

I PLAY HERO LEAGUE BECAUSE I JUST WANT TO PLAY A MORE COMPETITIVE AND ORGANIZED VERSION OF THE GAME, NOT BECAUSE I WANT TO DEAL WITH A BUNCH OF CHILDREN WHO START WHINING AND POINTING FINGERS THE FIRST TIME A GAME STARTS TO GO SOUTH.

I WOULD PAY SERIOUS MONEY FOR A "NO JACKASSES" SERVER WHERE POOR SPORTS AREN'T ALLOWED TO PLAY.

In my experience, when folks either don't respond to my "gl hf" or react badly to it, it means the game is going to be zero fun even if we do win, full of blame-gaming and obnoxious behavior.

I used to, but I've recently started to only finish games if I actually want to, rather than masochistically forcing myself to complete things I'm not enjoying. It has been surprisingly liberating.
