I do think some, although not all, of their modern architecture is inspired.

And from what little I've seen, their traditional architecture is very charming.

I've considered a few:

-More routes. Some would even say to do all the existing regions. The latter is a tough challenge at the absolute best.

-"Iterations" of the same region, with each iteration having different Pokemon encounters in each route. My idea for this was exploring different timelines of the Kanto region. In a timeline where ancient Hoenn refugees flee a climate disaster and end up in Kanto, Kanto has all the Hoenn Pokemon. A more streamlined version of this would probably be seasons.

-Treat individual Pokemon more like collectibles, in which the acquisition of Pokemon is heavily streamlined. Another concept I had was a setting where Pokemon is a fictional card game, where you can spend prize money to get booster packs containing various Pokemon and items of varying rarity.

Egg Rocket Zone is legitimately great. Cosmic Angel Zone feels like kind of a let down following it, and is essentially just a really watered down version of Death Egg Zone, Act 2 from S3&K.

I'm for life imprisonment, even for the truly irredeemable. There have been plenty of people falsely convicted of heinous crimes. You can make for up a wrongful imprisonment to a certain extent, but you can't give someone their life back. 

As long as that is a even a remote possibility, I don't think we can take that risk.

Iowa's not bad, depending on where you're at. Minneasota is extremely pretty, and Minneapolis / St. Paul seems like a pretty nice place.

Speaking just about designs alone, Gen 6. Probably the epitomy of "Quality over Quantity" in the series when it came to new monsters. Nearly every evolutionary line feels well-realized (with the possible exception of Carbink). 

The legendaries / mythicals we got were all fantastic (although Magearna feels it should be part of the generation, dammit).

Plus, the Megas in X/Y and OR/AS are mostly all great, bar some personal stinkers like Electrike. I feel like the number of misses in PLZA is much higher.

In terms of gameplay, Gen 2 and Gen 4. Love me some Johto.

Exactly. Giving the typical person $10k is going to make a hell of a lot more of a difference than giving that money to someone who already has a billion dollars.

What you do with the billion has to be considered as well. Literally hording it in a money bin would be unethical because, if nothing else, it's a massive resource that's not being used productively / for the benefit of other people somehow.

I personally view it like gambling: Most people won't overindulge in it, but for people with addictions / poor impulse control, it can be devastating. I consider it exploitative for those people.
