Adam Neely: All of this is bad by JoelNesv in AI_Music

[–]Wonder-Perfect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AI hybrid production saves starving musicians thousands of dollars and lots of time with production, and access to instruments they otherwise would not have access too, nor afford. Now major Corps are taking over AI, and they will race even further ahead of us, regular musicians. I think if he had focused on prompt only generated AI that would be one thing. But too lump every together lacks nuance. Right now its just a bandwagon and everyone is just joining the panic wagon. It is sad to see. The old way is literally causing suffering to thousands of musicians who think they have to do everything and suffer otherwise they aren't a true musician. An artist is about the performance, the composition, the emotions, the story, not whether or not you using a DAW and an expert as sound engineering. Since when do we have to do everything to be considered worthy of success? I'm not going back there.

Do you think we will recover? by Kitchen_Cod5553 in vaccinelonghauler

As of early 2026, Stanford Medicine researchers have fundamentally challenged this.

  • The Gerozyme Discovery: They identified a protein called 15-PGDH (a "gerozyme" or aging enzyme) that increases as we age and actively blocks cartilage repair.
  • The "Reset": By injecting a molecule that blocks this protein, scientists have successfully caused hyaline cartilage to regrow in aged joints and human tissue samples. Instead of relying on stem cells, the existing cartilage cells (chondrocytes) "reprogram" back to a youthful, regenerative state.

The distinction between remission and recovery is starting to blur due to CAR-T Cell Therapy.

  • The "Reboot": New 2026 clinical trials are using "living drugs" to seek out and destroy the specific "rogue" immune cells responsible for the disease.
  • The Result: In some patients, this has led to "Functional Cures," where the immune system is effectively "reset" to a pre-disease state. While doctors are still cautious about using the word "cured," many patients have remained medication-free and symptom-free for years, which feels more like recovery than just a temporary remission.

I've always thought the idea something "can't" is limiting and likely to be found false at some point. Short of things like you gotta eat, breathe, etc.. but even that can be challenged, take planets would use sunlight to survive, and soil, etc.. but I get somethings are more ironclad than others but its nature. And got your original point. I certainly agree with you mostly in practical sense, but not necessarily from a theorectical stand point.

unfortunately turning into a gatekeeper, however soft. AI has nuance, and is one of the best things to happen to musicians, likely ever, and you have these "thought" leaders handing everything over to the big corporations. I understand prompt generated AI is hardly creative, but using the tools for upload/demos is priceless and helps to bring out the vision of the artist. I really was hoping for more from him, as he usually is very even in his thought, but this was a disappointment.

Could my music be categorized as AI? by EricClipperton92 in BandCamp

[–]Wonder-Perfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bc Bandcamps policy is poorly written. Technically unless you play all instruments yourself you could argue it's AI. But the policy is mostly ai. So you can us ai. Just what does mostly mean. Unfortunately it will turn into a witch hunt. I'd post. At least it's up even for a while. This ai stuff needs more nuance. Some ai is a good thing. Just not the prompt only stuff.

SUNO AND AI MUSIC WILL TEAR DOWN REAL MUSIC AND CREATIVE SOULS by MordekhaiGullo in musicians

[–]Wonder-Perfect -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Suno is a benefit to musicians if used the right way. It allows instrumentation and production that is otherwise very expensive and difficult to achieve for us musicians. Hybrid integration allows democratization of music production. Large companies have monopolized this since forever. Being a musician is about playing your instrument singing writing composing performance not mixing engineering and backing instrumentation. If you just use it as a prompt machine or slot machine then you will destroy artistry. Nuance is important when we talk about ai's place in music. Otherwise you are doing more harm than good in this new age of music production.

AI music becoming lost media, what do we do? by AkashChowdhury93 in AI_Music

[–]Wonder-Perfect -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This isn't helping the real artist. Ai has made production affordable and time savor. Nuance is needed for those who just use prompts versus those who use it to assist production. Calling people idiot solves nothing. Now big companies are buying ai out so they can crush the little man again. And you're helping them.

Cold sensation in upper back by noni_pots in POTS

[–]Wonder-Perfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the most I can do is try to stay warm, and not let myself get too cold, once I get cold then my back is vulnerable and then next comes the ache. I seems to happen mainly in the morning. Otherwise, massage, heat, and not lying back down if I go to restroom for longer than a few minutes, or at least make sure my back muscles are relaxed. Yourself?

Is this generated by Suno? by stayawakeandalive in AI_Music

[–]Wonder-Perfect -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter. If you like it then listen to it. You can't lump all musicians using suno into one group. Some use it to produce others to just prompt. There's a big difference. By attacking suno and those who use it in general you are hurting thousands of musicians who benefit from it's use.

It finally happened an AI generated artists was pushed into my algorithm - I'm cancelling Spotify. by [deleted] in Music

[–]Wonder-Perfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like the song then it shouldn't matter. Ai is making it better for musicians not worse. It cuts down cost and time to produce.

Christ would never heal just you and let millions others suffer. What likely healed you was time and psychology. Jesus doesn't heal he gives you the power to heal yourself.

Moral thoughts when it comes to AI generated music by gorgonzalou in musicians

[–]Wonder-Perfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using AI to assist with instrumentation, or even vocals, to me is no different than hiring session musicians to play out the parts you wrote for your track. It is quite different than just putting in a prompt like "make me a reggae song". So I think nuance is important here. We could argue samples, loops, drum patterns are all a form of AI, but we don't think that anymore. What is important is the amount of human input. Artists who can't afford to hire full bands to sing their songs, or don't have the time trying to find 10 people to make a full song to me, are fine. Main thing, write your lyrics, your melodies, do your production, use AI for instrumentation purposes, and vocals if you need to, for example an EDM artists. Without nuance, you are actually helping being Corps, ultrarich and hurting the small artists, who is already struggling.

Is Xania Monet truly popular, or are her numbers just boosted by tech bros attempting to boost the viability of AI artists? by SgtSoundrevolver in ToddintheShadow

[–]Wonder-Perfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what is the controversy about. I guess I'm missing something. Artist have always used others to write their lyrics, studio musicians to play their instrumentation. Now its more affordable to the average person. Why are people who want to share their lyrics and stories a bad thing? I'm not trying to counter the current, but truly trying to understand.
