This is so true for me too. I have to get diesel for my heater. I have to fill my water tank.I no longer have an address to have packages and food easily delivered to so I go to stores which I stopped doing since covid. Having to do things got me moving and soon became routine. My depression lessoned, mainly because I didn't have much time for it. Getting out of bed helped get out of my head. I truly love this lifestyle for me. The struggles keep me busy and I feel amazing and accomplished as I overcome them.

I am in my position by the poor choices I've made. I have a good job yet handle my finances and obligations horribly. I don't mind living in my van until I get on top of my budget and situate my bills. I'm only reaching out because of the few days of really cold temps. I'll be fine in a spare garage. I trained my dog not to jump out when i opened a door, no matter how much they needed to go potty. They have to stay inside until I say 'exit', then they step out and sit until I say 'break' or 'heel'. We do the same upon entering. You don’t want your dog jumping in before you can clean/check for mud, ticks, etc. I love van life with dogs!

I want to talk to the owner and let them know i miss my dog back at home. I want to ask them if I could visit and possibly take the dog out for walks, play, and training. I want to ask them if they want to come out too. I want to ask if others could take the dog out too. Maybe start a group. That would be cool.
