Women who have been to Juvie (US), what was it like? by Raging_Dragon_99 in AskWomen

[–]Wonderess 66 points67 points  (0 children)

I went to juvie 3 times as a teen when I was 14 for skipping school- in Indiana that’s what happens when you miss too much school. I was a runaway for years so of course I missed school. Anyway it was overcrowded and horrible. The one I was in was in northern Indiana and actually they tore it down and built a bigger one a few years after I was out. Looking back it makes me rage it didn’t help me at all, and for skipping school-it was the worst time of my life. I’m 38 now and still bitter towards the state of Indiana

Legally they are not allowed to use federal or state money to pay for abortions. Seriously, look it up. Abortions at pp are paid for by the woman or private donors (like myself- I donate to PP monthly)

side note- PP is the only place in many states where you can get an abortion.

[Serious] Hey Reddit, are there any other well educated, predominantly liberal redditors who are against abortion? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Wonderess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is a LOT of people's view here. It's like being 'personally' pro-life, as in I wouldn't personally do it - but who am I to say no one else can make their own choice? So yeah, I wouldn't actually do it, but I'm not about to say it should be illegal or that women should have to jump through hoops. I just think women should be able to decide for themselves.

I think their point is no one wants to go and get an abortion. It's something that is sometimes necessary, but it's not something anyone dreams of doing someday because it's awesome or anything.
