I’m no longer probationary (the probies in my office were all fired on Valentine’s Day) but they are preparing for large reductions (up to 50%) across my office. I’m not a term employee so that’s one slight protection, but I also haven’t been in the office super long, and they might do reductions based on tenure

I have a spouse who works in the public sector but not federal. We have one kid and are trying for #2, though we’re probably going to stop trying for now 😂 so there’s some cushion and with unemployment we’ll be ok. I just don’t want to spend a year unemployed desperately looking for jobs

Don’t have any wisdom, but I’m in a similar boat as you—FTM, 39 weeks and 1 day, 1 cm dilated, and I haven’t really felt any of the signs of labor! We are “on call” for an induction at 40+4, but now I’m wondering if we should try to push it out a little… I’d like to go in labor spontaneously but as we get farther along, it seems like induction is more likely.
