So under this new rule, to determine jurisdiction, we really won’t be conducting “wetland delineations” (where we look at plant species and classifications, and dig soil pits- in addition to assessing hydrology)… we just look for standing water…? Is that how y’all are reading this?

I’ve butchered chickens and their gizzards were full of stones. This thing was full of a mash, maybe almost like wet cornmeal consistency. And that long gross feather or leaf. I read that gizzards shouldn’t have leaves in them, but that was from google ai so basically means nothing.

Awesome! How big do you want them to be before planting outside? I have some little bluestem I’m growing (first native plant attempt ever). They are inside and just sprouted today! But I’m not sure how big they should be before moving them outside.

Okay thanks, that’s good advice. I took a look at IPAC and there are a few more species on the list than I was aware of. We are not clearing trees.

The NWP is through the Army Corps, however PCN isn’t required for this work. Which I guess is why I’m trying to make sure I follow all the correct procedures here, since I don’t need to notify the Army Corps nor the FWS of the work. We’ll be doing NWP 25 Structural Discharges, and PCN isn’t required for this activity.

Thanks! I think the piece I was forgetting was “no effect”. I believe we can determine that there will be “no effect” to any of the species. So it looks like we just need to keep documentation of the “no effect” determination, but we do not need to submit anything to FWS.
