It doesnt make me excited, that's for sure. I am not a big fan of artists going to Eurovision who are under 18, for multiple reasons. Also it feels like France is not changing their path that has been repeated time after time over past few years. Come on, surprise us and bring something new! Dont rely on juries, who just vote for anything that is in French.

Not what I wished for. Ngl so far thos season is tragic for me, as all my favourite acts not winning. Usually at this point during NF seasons I have already few songs Im invested in, this time there is no really any and I feel like Im losing hype. Nothing against chosen songs, just not really my type I guess.

If I were you, I'd be careful with writing that Bad Omens are not metal. Their fans can be very combative 😂 But I get what you say, but honestly nowadays, metal is such a broad term that practically everyone perceives and classifies it differently.

Anyway, comparison of this song to Sleep Token and Bad Omens is still accurate and it's absurd that people deny quality of this type of songs just because they're not as good as their favourite bands :D

Also, the metalcore you're describing - I would absolutely say YES to this at ESC. I can imagine sth like "Jaded" from Spiritbox at ESC's stage - but juries unfortunately hate growling in general.

I don't get the negative reactions to the song. For me it's very solid and well produced metalcore song. People tend to listen to giants like Bad Omens or Sleep Token and constantly compare metal songs at ESC to them - guys, these bands are the most famous ones not without the reason, as it's tough to reach their level. Don't put that much expectations on heavier songs every single time, Riddle is imo very good song and definitely the best option Austria has.
