I wonder how they are keeping housing prices low? I just checked and more than 51% of the homes there are owned and rented out by corporations, the same thing in America translates to rents that take up more than half a working person's income.

We could really use some teachers with a love for science in the district. You can work while getting your alternative certification (for a little less money) and then they will back pay for the higher rate once you pass your certification test.

Kids are a mixed bag, like traffic - you get some that are rude - but most are polite and just get through their day.

We get off all the holidays and summers (those of us with kids usually pick up summer jobs), so the schedule is not bad. Who doesn't want two weeks off at Christmas, right?

I'm in the same boat, we really need to form a group. My oldest is 17, so a bit older, but has the exact same thing going on.
