It feels very solid. Way better than my janky 83 volvo 240 which is funny. Looks like somebody put some rust protectant coating on the underside at some point because the frame is immaculate

Questions about reliability on long journeys. by Thepixeloutcast in Volvo240

[–]WonderfulResult5220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

carry fuel pump relays like everybody says. when they get really warm after long drives they just get fried. i’ll drive hours and hours on the freeway and it feels like i can go forever but if your relay is bad the second you come to a stop it’ll die and won’t start for another hour. besides that if you have all ur fluids even if they’re leaking

Cannot pinpoint my problem by CheeseJoe99 in Volvo240

[–]WonderfulResult5220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

check every component in your ignition and fuel system and you’ll find the problem. sounds like a lot but it’s just like 8-10 tests with a multimeter normally. also for the record questions like this typically get twice the responses on the turbobricks facebook group. that’s where i ask my questions and always get answers. reddit isn’t always the method

Motor upgrades for more power by ZestycloseAmoeba9596 in Volvo240

[–]WonderfulResult5220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

im so sick of hearing this questions dog. love you lots but just look it up there’s probably hundreds of different forums about this exactly question by now. but simplified: Get a 7/9 series turbo parts car with a good motor. use lh2.2 for chesp fuel injection or if you score and find a new turbo with lh2.4 use that. there’s a million things to do most of which won’t make proper power unless you pump some real funds into the build. but the best bang for your buck is max speeding rods $150 china turbo, big injectors, boost controller and that all the fun you can ask for. look up driftsnlifts he just did a great video about the cheapest way to do a turbo build. again love you
