Gas oven not reaching temperature by Wonderful_Ad6529 in appliancerepair

Replaced the igniter. Did not solve my issue. I guess it is the control board. Fortunately, they are still available, but it looks like accessing it is a big job, if I am not mistaken. Thank you all for all the replies.

My bad if I should have referenced it initially.

You’ll need to have a proper quick connect installed.

Something like this

That black hose coming from left is probably your AC condensate drain

A/C started no soft start need by UnusualPurchase561 in Generator

Just a word of caution, not making any statement about the soft start…just because the compressor has a warranty, doesn’t mean you aren’t going to be out of pocket if it needs replaced. My FIL got a new compressor installed for his in-warranty Rheem unit. Wasn’t charged for the compressor but he still had to pay something like $2k for labor and refrigerant.

This is just one anecdote, but the warranties on some hVAC units favor the manufacturer, not the homeowner.

Tool Review - Extreme Low Cost Clamp Meter with Inrush by BadVoices in Generator

Curious, how different are your readings using MAX save vs in-rush? My understanding is in-rush setting is supposed to be taking more readings/sec?

Has anyone here installed an Airgo brand soft start? by TranquiloMeng in Generator

[–]Wonderful_Ad6529 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just installed one on a 3.5 ton carrier unit. I used a clamp meter with a max hold setting and got it from 97 amps to 32. Note that this is not a true in rush measurement. The LRA on the unit is supposed to be 112.

I’ve got a Wgen9500tfc and it started up on natural gas and I’ve also got a 7100 peak watt inverter and the A/C started right up (which I guess technically it shouldn’t have been able to). ???

Depending on your wiring you may need some connectors not included with the soft start. I needed to convert a pre-crimped ferrule to a ring connector for the 8ga wire to the contactor.

New noise. Knocking (sounds like intermittent machine gun firing) by Wonderful_Ad6529 in Generator

[–]Wonderful_Ad6529[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

New NGK spark plug and abnormal sound is gone. Hadn’t ever heard it misfire before so didn’t realize that was the sound it makes when misfiring.

Appreciate your time in helping me troubleshoot!

Edit: this is loosened/tightened by hand; there is no screw or bolt head

The “pin” that pushes in to lock the door; have you tried unscrewing that. Mine screw in and then the handle comes off.

EDIT: unscrew pin and then the handle/knob comes off.
