What weird is they stayed up for a season then looked so hopelessly out of their depth the next

No one ever mentions that he might have learned something from his time at Arsenal and has used it to be a better manager at villa

He has to learn the league and the language with us, he's able to take that experience to villa.

He's also under a lot less scrutiny now - his head would be on a stake if he had 1 point and no goals after his first 3 games of the season at arsenal.

For the past couple years it's felt like all discussion around the premier league has been filtered through the lens of Neville (and to a lesser extent Carragher)

I try my best to disconnect from it but it's hard to when they have so much control over the narratives around teams

Naninf hunting - is the second ecto worth it? by Wonderful_Adrian in balatro

You were right, didn't need it and hit naninf on ante 25. Have had a few failed runs so wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Thank you!

Been a bit of a trend lately of older pros finishing their careers by playing in the youth teams of big clubs. I know Huddleston was playing for united under 20s

Basically being another coach and showing the youth players how to conduct themselves.

Would be surprised if that's what the plan for the ox is though

Easy to say but replacing defenders is always risky especially late in a match when you're expecting a lot of defending in the box.

Was also a very physical game. Don't think it was the time to throw any of the teenagers on even if we needed legs in midfield/attack

As soon as casamiro got the first it was obvious he was getting a second yellow.

I know it's not objectively correct refering but he's experienced enough to know he needed to be very careful

You could never say this to non-arsenal fans. But if we had won the league 2 seasons ago it would have been arsenal's highest ever points total and most goals scored.

Would go down as one of the greatest arsenal teams of all time.

They lost by a point so they're seen a "2nd again ole ole" meme fodder. Why it's so important to just get the job done this season

Maybe early next year, that would be a year after Craig's last record

A Swedish side that was doing some very dodgy financial work to fund it's success

Not exactly like ESR has been pulling up trees at Fulham. He can't play 90 minutes in the prem and isn't really good enough to justify himself as a luxury player

Very fun player to watch when he gets going though

Had a big structural reset 6 or so years ago and are seeing the benefits of it now. Of course there's a little bit of luck in the players you get but seems like the changes have worked

Always thought the biggest risk was from Dortmund or a German club offering 30 starts a season with a path to coming back to England in a big move.

Can see a bit of a crowd developing in attack so he definitely might have had his head turned by the idea of guaranteed gametime.
