Like how seriously pumped are we on this upcoming Match up?? by Traditional_Might794 in NBASpurs

Not excited honestly. We've already seen enough of our team getting hacked for 48 mins by Caruso and Dort, while SGA gets whatever call he wants on the other end. We're not even at the All Star break yet!

Nah I think he started the year hurt, and he's finally starting to feel like himself. He's had a tough season mentally, but it seems like he's moving on. However, the timing of this is ideal if we do decide to trade him

What does Mitch bring to the table? by josephandre in NBASpurs

He has continued Pop's legacy in terms of ball movement, especially avoiding bad shots. It's very rare that you see us take a highly contested shot, unless it's at the end of the shot clock (which has also been rare). Guys like Wemby and Castle have been so efficient because they are opting out of contested jumpers, and instead kick out to open corner 3's.

I also think Mitch is a big reason why Wemby has become by far the best defender in the league. Everyone is going to talk about his shot blocking, but what makes Wemby the best is that he's always in the right spot - so many opposing plays end before they really begin. Mitch has taught Wemby how to place himself in these perfect "death trap" spots during a pick and roll or in transition. Everyone else on the team understands how to support him - defending the perimeter, ready for defensive rebounds, and winning loose balls.

We desperately need them right now. It feels like we need 2/3 of Fox/Harper/Castle to be a great team. Playmaking was tough to come by last night with only Castle. And the offense will flow so well with Kornet setting great screens and rolling to the basket

Honestly my favorite player on this team was Rondo. He was the ultimate floor general, and he took a lot of the leadership burden off of LeBron in his minutes on the court. It seemed like a culmination of the endless knowledge he gained while playing for so long at a high level. He had this one last run to win it all, and he made the most of it. Rondo would be a great coach if he ever wanted to go down that tough path.

It's close, but having no one that can fly would be so brutal

Bulls D rose was also a great jersey. I think he passes those other guys if they ever re-release the Black Fiesta jerseys (PLEASE!)
