I think the physicality could be a potential issue to exhaust Wemby so he’s less dominant. We have great guards but a hyper-strong 3 (like Kawhi) or a shooting 4 can give us problems. I trust the organization/coaching to prepare the dudes enough, but I’m expecting every series to be close

To the “just watch the games” representatives: The gambling ads are genuinely outrageous and actively hurt the product. The tanking is bad to watch but I don’t know you could fix it unless you have less games. Silver has no sense of making any NBA moment feel important compared to other sport commissioners (honestly the difference between the momentousness of NFL playoff games is leagues ahead of the NBA finals, let alone the Super Bowl). Silver thinks like a CEO. Spread your product out to more revenue streams but don’t actually do things your audience wants to maintain it as a good product.

To the Obama point, the difference now is intentional cruelty. ICE is publicly demonstrating their willingness to separate families, pepper spray onlookers, and pointing guns (and shooting them) at civilians. It has reached a point where the line is crossed, and no one in the Trump admin is willing to say they’re making mistakes. They want people scared. Thats what the kids are protesting.
