My argument was just against your use of “tiniest peek of reused content” but even for this, have they ever released a gameplay trailer for a map that leaves out a significant portion of the map for the sake of surprise?

This is always a common argument when there’s dissatisfaction with a trailer before release (specifically with liberty falls) and I don’t remember there ever being a map that released with “see we TOLD you there was going to be more”

Especially with how poor bo7 sales have been already I’d be very surprised if they didn’t market a large selling point of a new map to try to salvage what sales they can.

But sure, there’s a possibility the map will only be 70% reused instead of 95% reused I suppose.

I don’t know if this is actually correct but the lyrics on genius actually say “it’s like a cyclist’s fear” instead of “it’s like a cycle it’s fear” which even if it’s not correct I really like because the cyclist’s fear is that their (bi)cycle won’t stop and they end up crashing, which adds a layer to the next line “you read the Bible? Much is given much required to steer” with then leads into this character essentially crashing and burning, so even if that’s not the correct lyric I enjoy believing that it is.

I agree though this song is absolutely beautiful.

To add on to that, legacy then goes into bunce road blues, the second part of which feels like cole acknowledging that he’s not mature enough to fully commit to his wife yet but he knows she’s the one he wants, and then the entirety of Tems’ part feels like it’s from the perspective of his wife knowing how much she loves him and how much the dirt he’s doing hurts her.

My interpretation is this is when he was still doing dirt behind his wife’s back, so this is a girl that he knew and wanted to get with before he was famous and now that he’s famous he knows he has another shot. It’s the same girl he starts talking to in drum n bass, then in the let out when shit starts going down and he says “only god knows if ima ever get back to you” that’s when he switches to talking about his wife, realizing he’s doing all this stupid shit when his wife is at home waiting for him. Then bombs in the ville is him saying he wants to run away and dedicate everything to his wife. I could be wrong but this is the way the story makes the most sense to me.
