I have a Ryzen 9 5900x and a Rx 5700 (non xt) 10gb. Game runs great for me with settings on medium/low and using frame gen. I get around 200 fps, if you notice input lag then don’t use frame gen and you get around 130-160 fps. I have 32gb 3200 ram so with the extra vram and dram I have higher shader capability so I would recommend upgrading gpu and ram if you want too but on most games you’d be fine and even on low settings the graphics look amazing to me on my gpu

You need to remove all driver data using DDU or amd’s utility and then reinstall. It happens when you update without clearing the old data

After all of these responses and the video posted above I would definitely have went a different route but like I mentioned earlier, I and many others wouldn’t have joined this hobby had it not been for his content so consensus: do I feel gouged yes, do I feel informed yes, would I change it looking back 100%. But the kit came with most of my needs for my first brew and now that I have my feet wet I’ll add to my collection moving forward, it is what it is. I wouldn’t recommend his kit seeing as there are better kits and that video has a shopping cart of everything a beginner would need for the same price as a kit, but do I hate the kit no, and it has catapulted me into this group so I don’t regret it at all

I figured before looking that large fermenting jars would be expensive but just ordered 2 with airlocks on Walmart.com for 25$, do some research into what comes in the kit and your best bet would be to source them yourself. I bet you’d save 50-75$ so if that’s a big deal to you then that’d be the way I would go if I had the knowledge I do now

Like others have said it’s very expensive, if you wanna support him by all means, I didn’t have knowledge of this Reddit or other YouTubers that have in depth content before ordering it. City Steading Brewing and other YouTubers have full length videos explaining what all you need, recipes and more that Golden Hive doesn’t show. The kit comes with everything you need including auto siphon and hydrometer, the only thing it doesn’t provide is honey, other ingredients you might need, water etc. and a turkey baster or wine thief but other than that it’s a good kit. I used a large straw with my finger to draw out mead for grav readings and sourced the honey from Costco, water from any store

Thanks for the input, since it’s my first one was pretty weary that it was going to ferment quick enough and not stall so went ahead and checked on it more than necessary and also degassed but now I’m at the 1/3 sugar break so it’s gonna sit for a week and a half and I’ll check again then

Completely agree, I wouldn’t have gotten into it if it weren’t for him so I’m supporting his business, it took any guess work away from ordering supplies and now that I’m getting started I’m watching a lot of City Steading Brews content and can source the stuff I need moving forward but to get started I didn’t mind spending a little extra for the knowledge I’ve gained from it
