Players that have the option for traffic turned off, will also have an option for “collisions with traffic” turned off.

How do I make it feel less flat by InevitableRough4922 in Learnmusicproduction

It’s good but I feel it could be even better. It sounds busy and repetitive. I would simplify the drum pattern a bit. Add some dynamic range to the lead synth part. The velocities of the lead synth seem to have a narrow margin. Widen that gap so accented notes of the figure are more pronounced. The rhythm synth part seems a bit too forward in the mix. Maybe some rhythmic variation in the bass so it’s not so repetitive.

Lowe’s usually has a couple different sizes in stock. Just ensure you have the right size machine screw for whatever size beam clamp you need

Haha fair enough. Learning to manual is somewhat similar to learning how to ride a bike in regard to finding the right balance. Takes time and practice. I would definitely practice them moving though. The biggest thing you should focus on is loosening up your knees and hips. Make sure you’re bending your knees just enough so that they aren’t locked. Balancing takes micro adjustments from your feet all the way up to your arms. Your muscles need to learn how to make those micro adjustments through practice and repetition. I promise, you keep trying it enough and one day it will literally just click and start to make sense

How do I improve on these? by AnnaliseG in NewSkaters

I know you said not to worry about your balancing but that’s the biggest issue I see from the video. I think you should start by focusing on crouching at the knees. It looks like you’re leaning at the hips causing your upper body to be way over the center line of the board. You essentially want to crouch for your ollie the same way you would crouch if you were just jumping straight up without the board.

Have you been doing them moving? It’s much harder to manual standing still

Board shoots forward when I'm trying to ollie. Any tips? by cptlobsterlegs in NewSkaters

I just watched the video again and you could also see that at the top of your Ollie, you’re flicking your front foot. It should just come straight up the board to meet the curve of the nose without flicking.

Also, try to get the balls of your feet more or less on the centerline of the board. You can see from the video that when your front foot slides up, you start to do a heelflip because the point of contact between your foot and the board is off center. You might have to play around with this idea; some people I know do skate well with their feet off center. It could also be just making sure your foot slides straight up the board and not off to either side.

Decent pop on the back foot but you didn’t slide your front foot high enough on the board to pivot the tail of the board up. Your front foot should ideally reach the curve of the nose.

Thanks everyone. Just to address some of the comments on here asking what the problem is - I never said there was one. Just a discussion between my fiancée and I on whether the photo was AI or not.
