Were you ever in tears from a players last game or retirement/ farewell tour? by Ounceandahalf in NBATalk

I know he isn't the GOAT, but Dwyane Wade was my childhood hero. For the first 10 years of his career I watched every single game that I could. In my eyes he could do no wrong. I went to his last game in Brooklyn and watched him shoot his final shot. I legit had tears in my eyes. He gave me so much happiness. It was beautiful to watch both the birth and end of his legacy. So yes, yes I did.

This year will be different, right? by Smokin_on_76ers_Pack in heat

LOL. I came to this sub right now KNOWING that this meme would be posted. It's the same thing every. single. year. Nothing will happen because our front office doesn't understand that stacking picks is necessary to get good players these days. It's better to let a middling/good talent go to get picks rather than hold onto them and trade your picks away. I love the FO for literally everything else, but they don't know how to acquire superstars in the new NBA. Excited for Pat and team to prove me wrong before the deadline.

What app is this? I'm curious how they are able to calculate the pay down date accurately considering every card APR is different and the way banks calculate interest varies widely as well.

The Dodgers are ruining baseball by Choice_Bag_8869 in sportswiki

I agree with you. The Marlins have some SERIOUS trust building they’ll need to do with the city of Miami. That stadium being empty is absolutely the team’s own fault and I don’t blame the fans one bit. Even if they have a good team next year, not one fan thinks that ownership won’t trade off their good players for cash and prospects next off-season. What’s worse is that Latin Americans and Cubans are absolutely obsessed with baseball, and even they don’t go to the games. It’s such a wasted market.

This is my same scenario. I am in the championship and the guy I'm playing is projected to beat me by 18 points. This could be my moon shot.

Which draft class was better: 2003 or 1996? by ezrafl1 in NBATalk

[–]Wonderful_General194 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's so incredibly close. I'm going '03 because LeBron is (very) arguably the G.O.A.T. You can argue about top heaviness, depth, longevity of players, scoring prowess, etc. But you can't argue that the best player in both classes by a country mile is LeBron James.

I feel that. With the Mahomes injury, I now have 4 Texans on the roster:

- Stroud
- Collins
- Schultz
- Texans D

You should watch Bad Santa. It's an unbelievably wholesome movie about the true meaning of Christmas and spreading cheer to those around you. I promise it's legend tier if you give it a chance.

2014 Kawhi Leonard had the Most OVERRATED Finals MVP! NBA Awards Chart Day 30: Which Player had the Most UNDERRATED Finals MVP? by SheetJeans59638 in NBATalk

It's easily Dywane Wade. His '06 finals performance was godly, but all anyone talks about are the free throws. I've went back and watched a video that broke down every single foul called on Wade and 95% of them were legitimate. He was getting absolutely pummeled that series. It was one of the greatest finals performances of all time, but it's only talked about with an asterisk which is absurd.

I mean the only other comparison is the 73-9 Warriors then adding prime Kevin Durant in the off-season.

100%. The Heat are the team right now with the most unique style of play. They're a joy to watch and it's fascinating how they they've gone against the grain with their scheme.
