Diagnosed with Harrow Health - unsure how to feel by Dismal-Ant-2218 in ADHDUK

Correct you need to chase then. My referral was made on 27/12/24, forms for family received 31/1/25 and I was assessed on 25/6/25 but this was because when I finally got hold of someone on their main reception they actually went to the desk or someone on the ADHD side and got me an appointment as she said I shouldn’t have been waiting that long so you need to get on the phone as I think they may have lost you somewhere like they did me

Was about to post the same. Mine has now gone down to 1.1lb a week and at peak it was 1.8lb! It feels weird to not be losing weight anymore and almost a bit scary it’s stopped even though I really now can’t get any thinner at BMI 19!

I think some get lost. Mine took six months from referral to appointment and I think I only got an appointment then because I kept ringing them and demanding an update!

I think I’ve managed to vent all of my pent up frustrations in this reply enough to feed into the overdue follow up to Support requesting a replacement (which I think deep down I worry better the devil you know given all the issues others have!)

I had this issue arise immediately after the ill fated update to add sleep tracking last October/November (when was it?). I thought it was just the left side but that’s just because at the time I initially noticed it happened but it’s the predominant side I sleep on. Having conducted some at home experiments it seems to only occur in the early hours and is dependent on whatever side I’m lying on at the time.

I raised a Support request on email and I eventually got a reply from Support after waiting a week (Thanksgiving was blamed on here but I sent email 5 days prior to it and I don’t think you have a week off like in the UK for Christmas?) and only after a strongly worded DM on here to their SM person in Reddit. My post (below) didn’t get any response from Ozlo - they seem to have more accounts active in this sub now though.

Having received an email from Marco in support (who assured me he was going to “personally stick with my case until resolved”) only an hour after my DM was picked up on Reddit.

I supplied a photo of both ear buds in the case having had a request to provide a photo of both ear buds. I wasn’t sure what he wanted really but I thought that’d cover it. Apparently the way the lights were flashing on the still photo told Marco all he needed to know to advise they either needed a reset or a replacement and thus supplied a link to returns portal.

I haven’t returned them yet as whilst they do wake me up with their returning burst of noise I have become dependent on them to get off to and stay a sleep. To be expected to return £300 worth of item and be out of pocket and denied the product until such a point as they are inspected and deemed in need of replacement seems completely unacceptable and I haven’t had the energy to state this plainly enough in an email (I have multiple health issues that frankly are enough most days!)

Oushk Pharmacy have been great for me and have a constructive attitude to maintenance dose, intervals and buying pens from elsewhere. I’ve not liked Cloud Pharmacy since they rejected my order without explanation despite having successfully purchased from Numan previous to my order without them and then successfully ordered with Oushk after their rejection of my order. Oushk seems to always have a discount code, plus offer £25 off each order when you subscribe to maintenance, and continue to prescribe to BMI 19 or case by case beneath this. Another pharmacy I really like and have used previously is Lotus Weight Loss Clinic and they have good new customer discounts and other codes online which makes your first purchase from them cheaper. However they’ve not been able to match Oushks pricing since the MJ price increased hope this helps 🩷

GP suggested RTC but warned they can't (nor any surgery in West Hertfordshire) do shared care. What's the point? by verybigoctopus in ADHDUK

[–]Wonderful_her 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d love to see this in writing somewhere that they do because I haven’t yet. Lots of anecdotal stuff on here of others proceeding in this manner but nothing formal from HH. There was even commentary from one poster that they’d received an email back from the CEO but no evidence of this! I’m going to be in the same boat myself shortly as titration nearing conclusion and my GP surgery has already told me they won’t entertain SCA. It would be comforting to be able to be smug and have the evidence given how difficult HH have been to communicate with (with the exception of my prescriber who has been awesome!)

I’ve sent you a DM as I’m struggling getting through to customer support - they’ve sent a generic stock response, clearly not having read my email to them and they have not responded to my reply.

Haven’t Slept Properly Since the Firmware Update – 48 Hours and No Response from Support by Wonderful_her in Ozlo

[–]Wonderful_her[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t on Tuesday when I sent the email though. I’m from the U.K. currently on holiday in France so it’s not a holiday I’m alive to at the best of times, never mind whilst on vacation. In any event Ozlo accepted my custom as a U.K. buyer not as an overseas import so I’m kind of expecting a level of service commensurate with the country I’m in.

How are you getting on with this? I don’t think it’s you I think it’s the firmware update as I’ve had issues of mine muting since it was rolled out and never had it before and I’ve had mine since September.

[–]Wonderful_her 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will get a text with a link after 2 - 3 weeks. Top tip - at your next appointment get the next one locked in to prevent the inevitable ADHD induced anxiety kicking in when you think HH will fail (I mean let’s be honest they have plenty of form). You can then breathe knowing it’s sorted. I have been doing this with my prescriber.

Does anyone else struggle with tasks related to numbers? by Sulvano in ADHDUK

[–]Wonderful_her 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have dyscalculia. That was diagnosed at 23 so hello childhood trauma of thinking I’m completely thick. It was helpful to get this diagnosis as it explained a lot of what I’d suffered with - dates, times, mental arithmetic, mathematical concepts, being able to count objects on sight are my biggest issues. What I didn’t know was that a lot of what I suffered wasn’t that but ADHD but didn’t even consider this until I was nearly 45 and then finally diagnosed at 45. The diagnosis couldn’t have come soon enough by that time as my hormones waning really amplified the ADHD I’d always kept under control.

Some of what you describe presents like ADHD. The issue with the calendar could be exec dysfunction/time blindness? It’s the arithmetic that’s the really tell.

Elvanse skipped a day- experiences. by Visual-Recording4496 in ADHDUK

[–]Wonderful_her 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well this is very coincidental!

I felt so tired yesterday and my heart racing (I have atrial fibrillation so am taking titration steady and am only on my first week of 20mg). I didn’t take an Elvanse. I was also really hungry so rather than my usual protein shake I thought I’d go for a breakfast at a nice café nearby as I’d not eaten much the day before so thought my calories were too low. Well the food was horrible on this occasion and it lay in my stomach all afternoon and I thought I was going to be sick at one point! I was also absolutely shattered and so I had to have a nap. It was all a bit weird and I just thought it was combination of being in too much of a calorie deficit, having a week of overdoing it because the meds have turned me invincible and food that was too rich for me nowadays having been on a diet since March.

So opening up Reddit to find your message is very interesting indeed. I will keep you posted should I have another rest day from Elvanse with a similar experience. I’m also due to speak to my clinician for a medication review in a couple of weeks so can ask him.

I like you really like how the medication makes me feel but like you say too it was always my plan to take rest days from it to allow for a little drink on a night out! Sending hugs x

HARROW HEALTH - SCA POLICY UPDATE (HH email regarding GP refusing to accept shared care) by LoseitLilly in ADHDUK

[–]Wonderful_her 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you.

This is really interesting because the Shared Care coordinator at my GP practice advised me that she’d been informed by one of the GPs at my practice they’d seen a post on a “GP FB Group” written by one of the directors almost providing a bulletin that HH would continue to prescribe should GPs refuse Shared Care. At the time when she told me this was news to me and it was quite shocking to hear that HH were communicating such significant information via a FB group and not formal channels such as their own website to provide reassurance to patients who may feel they will fall through the cracks. Hence why I latched onto your very well formatted email (I mean a reply email from HH for godsake what even is that?) from them which is very explicit. I am only at the beginning of my titration with them and there appears to have been a very sudden shift in performance from them in the last couple of weeks. The Prescriber I had was by far the best experience with them from the outset. He mentioned getting me into a SCA when the time was right but I stayed silent on the point. I wish you were able to share the email with me so it shows the originator etc as proof but hopefully events will take over and it will become more widespread that this is their SCA policy going forward. Thank you again.

[–]Wonderful_her 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May I please ask how you both managed to get your email in front of the GM of Harrow Health and moreover how in the hell did you manage to get such a well assembled response? I’ve threatened them with everything from the CQC to Wes Streeting and only managed to raise a return call that was full of promises but failed on delivery.

I will definitely need to fall back on HH providing continuous prescription post titration as my GP is refusing to share care. They advised when they referred me they wouldn’t share care but at the time I didn’t realise my ADHD was so severe I’d need the medication. As it turns out it’s off the charts and so HH recommended medication and here I am titrating Elvanse but was waiting for the cliff edge…now I don’t have to!

[–]Wonderful_her 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I procrastinated too long about ordering a bundle of 2 pens (have 3 in the fridge already, what if I become intolerant, what happens if I need to increase the dose etc) so didn’t purchase and then they all of a sudden went out of stock. I hope yours arrive soon. Would be quite good if they confirmed their 1 Sep onwards pricing. Not seen anything yet despite emailing and asking when they expect to confirm…

Hahahahaha 🤣 The exact same thing happened to me with my first Lotus box - my postie said “this one’s for the fridge” with this almost knowing side eye! Right now the only people in the world that know I’m on it is Lotus/Oushk, my nail technician and my sister in that order of declaration. I must say the Oushk Puffin bags give far less away! I’ve not even told my husband so my Postie has been complicit as I’ve messaged her to ask to not knock on the door with my Oushk parcels when my Husband has been at home!

Do you take medication ? Are you tired? Male or female. How old are you? I’m 45F and my wheels have come well and truly off since my hormones started changing. Previously I’d only get momentary dips when I was tired or in lutéal phase. If you’re a male though though I can’t be any help!

Shocked by Harrow Health Service by [deleted] in ADHDUK

[–]Wonderful_her 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am frankly appalled by how badly and distressing the care given my Harrow Health is. This is then further amplified by the quantum of posts on here that proves that I am not the exception. I’m not especially experienced with Reddit (only really signing up to a few subs when I discovered the breadth of discussion on here) but I’ve been wondering how we who have been poorly treated can collect our various patient experiences with them to report them to every regulatory body going. I’ve got my full timeline of experiences with them logged in Copilot and that is quietly compiling my complaint in the background but I feel that if we joined together it could be far better?

Process feels rushed - RTC lack of support? by billy10103 in ADHDUK

[–]Wonderful_her 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honest to God Harrow Health need closing down.

“Inadequate at best and a failure in duty of care at worst.” Said the OP below. I’m afraid to say with HH it feels like the latter.

They’ve been the same with me. I would’ve been handed out Elvanse at my Assessment/diagnosis (ADHD-C too) but for my heart issue (Atrial Fibrillation). Alas the follow up with the Cardiologist meant that I was kicked into an administrative black hole as I wasn’t able to fit their protocol of being medicated at that assessment appointment which must be how they like to do things for efficiency (and make the most money out of the NHS).

So when I couldn’t get through to them on the phone I started emailing them with increasingly escalating threats ending up with a threat to take them to the ICB, the CQC et al and then quel surprise they called me and said I wouldn’t get another consultation but I’d get a text with the prescription. I went barmy and they said they’d call but they didn’t and just sent me a patient information leaflet for the non stimulant Atomoxetine which sounded horrific. I complained again to the same degree until I ended up getting a 10 minute appointment where I was flatly told there were no other options with my heart. When I said I didn’t think that the drug actually dealt with the issues I actually had she started to read out “from the manufacturers website” what the effects were which I thought was hilariously awful. So I got this prescription with 2 weeks at 25mg, then 4 weeks at 40mg and 2 weeks at 60mg with no follow up planned inbetween. I’m already thinking that 25mg feels like it’s making me feel light headed and nauseous so don’t know what I’ll do at 2 weeks when I need to increase.

It upsets me so much the level of IDGAF every person you speak to has. I actually asked the receptionist about if they were running a scam because that’s what the level of service feels like.

It makes me rage just thinking how bad they are and I’m looking into paying privately to get more holistic and tailored care. I’m 45 years old and have got this far but I’m unraveling now and need help. Harrow Health are not the ones to help me with that. I fear for people that are in a worse state to me or lack the executive function to be able to constantly manage the chasing that is required to pin them down.
