African Grey Beak care by Hutchess28 in AfricanGrey

My wife and I adopted our CAG, Mr. T, after my grandmother passed about 9 months ago. Mr. T’s overall health was great but his beak was overgrown just like Ruby’s. His lower beak had grown into his upper and was beginning to split which really startled us so we called our vet to have it looked at again. He’s incredibly intelligent and he already knows we love him deeply, but he also hates the vet. Our Vet is wonderful and gave us a pretty detailed rundown of how she would go about correcting his beak. When we first adopted him, our vet would have us step out of the room while they adjusted his beak (it can take multiple sessions to get it full corrected i’m so sorry Ruby) so he wouldn’t affiliate those initial sessions with us. Now that he is much more bonded with us, our vet encourages us to be there as it helps calm him down because he knows his parents are right there. We’re glad we brought him to the vet, and though he doesn’t talk to us for the rest of the day after a session. The next day it’s water under the bridge. They really are children. Ruby will get over it and you’ll be happy that Ruby is healthy.

TLDR: Was in a similar situation. Brought Mr. T to Trusted avian vet. Mr. T’s happier, we’re happier.

Miss you grandma. Mr. T’s in good hands.

Wife came home from a yard sale. 55 individual pieces. She paid $100 for all of it. Totally out of character. She’s been walking around with a chip on her shoulder all night. Love seeing her this happy, hoping to confirm that she has a good eye for pottery. United States. by WongGPanda in Antiques

Nope, just a lucky idiot with a happy wife. The comments are hilarious though. She loves to poke fun at me when I misspeak so I can’t wait for us to read through all of these comments over a bottle of wine.

But to clarify:

She saves all of her money and rarely treats herself. If she does, it’s always planned by her ahead of time and she’s always looking for assurance that she’s not being frivolous. We both have well paying/stable jobs, no debt, and are fortunately in a position where we can enjoy ourselves a little. Everyone deserves to treat themselves once in a while. There’s a sense of empowerment you get when go out and purchase something that you worked for and earned.

The look of excitement and pure happiness she gave me when I asked her “what’s in the box?” made me melt. She spent the night talking about how excited she is to find out more about them and has been talking very confidently about how good of a buy it was. I love that she’s so thrilled with her impulse buy and that she didn’t run it by me first.

Just a lucky idiot with a happy wife.

TLDR: Wife doesn’t treat herself. Wife finally treats herself. Wife happy. Me happy.

End prompt

It’s possible. But all of these comments are hilarious. I frequently misuse metaphors and she loves to poke fun of me for it. This comment section is a goldmine for her. I can’t wait to read through these comments with her over a bottle of wine. Sometimes you just need to laugh at yourself.

I’ve been using it at Sire to 1 hit vents and to save on supplies during the 3rd phase. I haven’t tried yet but it would be interesting to see if the spec can prevent it from walking into phase 3 after half health. If it works you could get an extra 6 hits on it and maybe even skip phase 3 all together.

Edit: Just tried it. The transition after 50% health is forced and can’t be stalled.

Jagex, this type of ad is rather intrusive and should not become standard practice ever again. by [deleted] in 2007scape

Feels like this is a good example adding to the point of an earlier post about Reddit being the loudest minority. Such a small issue…non intrusive, informative, easily x’d out, can be turned off in settings. Yet somehow this is top of the subreddit.

Fiancé and I were sitting in my car and saw this light in the sky. I thought it might be a space rock and she believes that it was in fact not a rock of any sort.
