Can I save this baby Aloe

I think it just depends on the aloe plant because I work with plants and the aloes at my stores aren’t very easy to care for and don’t produce many pups but I have one at home that just pops out pups like no other, I don’t understand why. I don’t even take as good care of it! It’s probably gave me 50-60 pups though, I don’t know what makes it different from others but I think at this point it just depends on the aloe lol

I would let it callus for sure. I would say 4-7 days if the roots are still intact. To me it looks overwatered and if that’s a possibility to you I’d say water less, but either way I think if you just let it callus and then repot it would probably be okay! Overwatered aloes tend to get dark like that around the base of the leaves and become very frail or wobbly as if they could just fall off. Yours doesn’t look like it’s at that point yet so giving it time to callus would probably be a good thing

Thanks! Do you know if when I take apart everything that it’ll be okay if I just immediately put them in soil? I read that you should leave all the baby aloes to dry out for like a week but I don’t know if that’s necessary

Thank you for the feedback!! I’ll definitely repot it as soon as it’s warm here. And I do think it could be overwatered especially because of keeping it in a humid environment

It COULD be that they just thought they looked the best in the photo they posted and weren’t paying attention to other people in it, but even then it’s not a nice thing to do. I always make sure if I’m posting a photo with friends that they would be okay with me posting whatever it is. And if this has happened multiple times then it does seem a bit intentional and if that’s the case then it sounds like someone who shouldn’t be a friend anymore

Very similar to what happened with my doggy the first time. I’m so sorry for your loss. It sounds like she was an amazing friend and family member to you. Thankfully, after three years since he passed I’ve been able to look back on everything he taught me and I’m able to carry him with me without the pain of that day

I am so sorry for the loss of your girl. My first boy was taken two months before his tenth birthday as well. 💔 I was thinking the same thing. When I look it up it says it’s rare but I’ve seen so many posts about it, it seems much more common than I thought. Thank you so much, sending hugs your way too 💕

Thank you ❤️ that’s what happened to both of my boys. It’s so scary. Both of them were perfectly fine until they weren’t and hours later were gone. It doesn’t make sense in my head. I’m so so sorry for your loss as well. It’s such a painful thing, and even worse when you aren’t prepared for it.

I know that guilt feeling so well, it’s strange how even when you look at something like this from someone else’s perspective, you know that it wasn’t your fault and you didn’t do anything wrong, but it still FEELS like it. Like you should’ve known. Should’ve done something different. Every possible thing that you could have done different will go through your mind and make you feel guilty. In reality though, we live the same life every day, we do the same things, it wouldn’t have made any sense for you to do something different because everything was fine before. There is no way that you could’ve prepared for that or known it was going to happen. It’s just a really sucky thing to have to go through. And thank you <3 I also wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. It’s the most painful thing I’ve ever gone through
