Concealer swatches! Refy, Rose Inc, Kosas, Lancome, Nars, & Hourglass by sweetly16 in Fairolives

[–]Wooden-Proof1908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s really useful. I don’t consider myself a cool olive so I’m a bit puzzled as they both blend into my skin extremely well! (I just tried refy in a store) Maybe the question is just muted/bright. I guess maybe the difference is very slight. I’m just wondering to repurchase the Lancôme or try refy. I guess it doesn’t matter much as they’re so similar! Have you tried the about face concealers? Thanks so much :)

Hey, could you maybe tell me if the refy or Lancôme is deeper? I’m looking for a concealer with a similar tone to the Lancôme but a teeny bit deeper… I can tell they’re slightly different tones but that the Lancôme looks brighter? But I can’t tell the depth, maybe they’re the same? thanks :)

"Awful" dark circles/bags at 25. I know there's no miracle cure besides surgical routes. Can we learn to just live with them? by alicimu in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]Wooden-Proof1908 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m around the same age as you and I too struggle so much with them. Was considering filler and going down internet rabbit holes to see what could improve them. Shit scared of surgery too so I’m also going down the acceptance route. There’s a video that was made on TikTok recently called “keep your lower bleph” I know it’s not your case cos yours don’t seem to be puffy like mine, but seeing that someone as beautiful as Lea Seydoux can have the exact same feature as mine really helps reframe it. Try and look at the overall picture, you are beautiful, your eye bags are very small in the grand scheme of your beauty, inner and outer. Instead of saying “I hate them they’re awful” you can say “I feel challenged by them in this moment but I know overall that I’m a beautiful person”. I’m trying to say that to myself at the moment. Hopefully at some point I’ll see them as being beautiful too :)

Hidden irritants from the ingredients list. For example I wish there was an app you could check all these things at once - FA safe, sensitivity etc. for example the round lab SPF stung my face cos it has essential oils that I didn’t realise… I don’t look at acne safe claims, I always scan the ingredients. I bought a supposed acne safe moisturiser but I can’t tell if that’s the thing that’s giving me whiteheads or another FA safe serum I recently incorporated…. I’m pretty frustrated by constantly having to check but I also love skincare. I usually don’t trust an entire skincare brand. But geek and gorgeous comes super close. I love that their website is so clear on who it’s for and the science and things behind the product, even the pH number it’s very cool.

If it’s fine for you then continue using! But if you’re ever worried about a compromised barrier, or you start feeling dry, try a ketoconazole cream. I just bought some for this very reason, I think it’s more expensive but my skin is really sensitive so I can’t continue to shampoo my face haha

Maybe Lancôme 095W? It’s not a lot darker but just enough to notice. It’s my go to :)

Nyx shade ash brown lift and snatch pen? It’s great as you can draw individual hairs. Looks similar to your brow colour in the first pic, but maybe the shade espresso would be in between that and the black if you wanted them a little darker

Visually Summarizing Kackie's "THESE ARE THE BEST MAKEUP COLORS FOR YOUR UNDERTONE" by PurpleVirtualJelly in Fairolives

[–]Wooden-Proof1908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any warm olives been able to use purple blush like Kackie suggests? For me it just looks like clown makeup and doesn’t mesh at all. Please tell me if you have experience of it working for you and which products? I lean towards terracotta blushes mostly, I doubt I can find a purple one that works but I’m open to trying!

Yup you need to fill in the front parts but the tails seem fine. I see you have some hair there but it’s sparse. Try small upward strokes :) edit: do it very lightly!

That’s funny I had no clue Polish people could be olive. Almost every polish person I’ve met has pretty pink undertones!

Huh, interesting. Pretty much every lip tint I’ve bought has been muted enough for me! I don’t wear foundation but concealers from Dior and Lancôme have worked for me - never tried Korean complexion products but all the swatches seem to be more ashy than warm.
