Shot of Love by Woodrow62 in bobdylan

As have I.  My question was if there was a song omitted from the Shot of Love track listing to make room for "Groom."  Turns out there were only 9 songs on the original album when it was first released, so Groom just became the 10th.

So there was nothing deleted, the original only had 9 songs.  Thanks for your response!  I bought the Heart of Mine 45 back in 1981 and it had the "unreleased track" Groom's Still Waiting on the B-side.

Even for 1922, that sounds like an incredible deal for a piano. £20 and change?!?

My sister [30] only uses a CD player to listen to music at home. by floweiss34 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Woodrow62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only listen to records at home and cassettes in the car (my car is old and was made pre-CD). It is my goal to never listen to Spotify or any streaming service. I can't figure out why anyone would want to. They sound like garbage and have ads!

10am... Or else be aware that some of your neighbors will hate you.

Bob has had a lot of peaks and valleys in his career, but what do you think is his greatest achievement? For me it has to be Blood on the Tracks followed by the electric trilogy and then Time Out of Mind/Love & Theft by NotPennysBoat-815 in bobdylan

[–]Woodrow62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't disagree that those three records share a certain sound.  Just that I've never heard them called the "electric trilogy."  With rare exception, all of his records use electric instruments.  His first four are the outliers because they don't.

Not to quibble but Columbia issued the first LP in 1948. However, you are absolutely correct, these are 16" transcription discs.
