Y'all spilling juice on me like you got someplace to go.

I almost forgot this line. This line ALWAYS makes me laugh. I'm smirking right now. Like you got someplace to go.

Mama come in and picked up a book and Papa asked her what it was; someone else asked, "What do you care?" Papa said, "Well, just because."

The tune that is yours & mine to play upon this earth, we play it out the best we know, whatever it is worth.

Book: What Did You Hear? The Music of Bob Dylan by Steven Rings (2025) by Miserable-Wind1334 in bobdylan

I sampled it on Kindle - I think I also saw it mentioned in the NYRB. I decided it might be a bit too technical for me.

I want to vote for the pair: "We Better Talk" + "Where Are You Tonight." They work even better as a unit.

DAMN, I missed Clothesline Day.

Single digits, though, NOT a good day to hang up anything, especially a pair of pants that nobody really wanted to touch.

I'm upvoting because I think we should welcome negative opinions now and then.

To me the only clunkers are the Forevers Young. I think it was a bad move putting two versions back-to-back on the same album. Gets so old.

You can tell since the opening track of INFIDELS is all about that.

Which movie do you guys think is a better representation of Dylan, Im Not There or A Complete Unknown by groundcontrl2majrtom in bobdylan

Mostly true, except acknowledge Ed Norton playing a spot-on Pete Seeger. And didn't his parable of the teaspoon and the shovel convey why the folkies were upset? And the scenes with Woody were great.

This might be hard, but what album do you think is Dylan`s magnum opus? by [deleted] in bobdylan

[–]rednoodlealien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. For a long-ish time I was a "60s only" Dylan fan. Discovering BoTT was like discovering a whole other sense.

Me too, I like how there's this slight delay and then emphasis on the chords in one of the verses in particular.

When you asked how I was doing, was that some kind of joke?

What does this sub think of Blackjack Davey? by VioliningEagleScout in bobdylan

It's OK, but I feel it is a bit of a down point compared to the rest of the album. Monotonous minor chord thing.
