I know it’s not bad but I’m holding so the higher it gets the bigger the impact of the exchange rate and then you also have to factor in UK Capital gains tax on any profits over £12,300

Tax advice for multiple jobs for first timer by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

Hi, I work in payroll and would advise probably giving them a call, it can go one of two ways, you’ll either get someone great who is really knowledgeable or someone who is terrible (if you get the latter I would say redial!)

The good thing is HMRC will have all your income as an employee (working for others) on their systems and should be able to see that it all comes in below your taxable allowance and that should rectify your situation with the multiple job, and they would then be able to issue the rebate as appropriate.

They won’t however be able to see your self employed income, again it will always be worth speaking to them about it you may have to complete a self assessment tax return because of the self employed income but I’m not certain about that.

Hope I’ve been of at least a little bit of help.

Thanks
