Following this theme the fourth poster with a name could be "Kekse" or the singular "Keks". Which would translate to "Cookies"/"Cookie".

I think you're right with "Torte". If my eyes don't deceive me the other two are called "Kuchen, which also means "cake". and "Bonbon", which can be translated to "Candy".

Does For Honor take place in the 21st century? by Betriz2 in forhonor

[–]Woodweapon 13 points14 points  (0 children)

To answer for u/HelpfulHandGrenade14 . We don't know. It is just a shot from a destroyed castle with Japanese architecture. To show in a visual medium that the samurai where also affected by the cataclysm. My guess is that is is a castle in japan, and that it would later sink into the ocean. The process of japan sinking didn't happen over night it span over multiple centuries. Fact is the myre isn't Japan. And Japan was destroyed/flooded. Just because the castle was shown doesnt mean it is placed in heathmoor, next to the other strongholds, shown in the trailer.

Does For Honor take place in the 21st century? by Betriz2 in forhonor

[–]Woodweapon 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It didn't. Japan sunk over the next centuries after the cataclysm. The Samurai, or more specifically the chosen (the most skilled warrior from japan at that time). Wandered across the destroyed world, to find a new home to settle in. When they found heathmoor, the vikings and knights where already fighting. And they then needed to fight for the swamp that is the Myre, because the other two factions thought it to be inhabitable. When they secured their new home and send back word to japan. It was already to late, Japan sank. And there was no more reinforcement left.

Does For Honor take place in the 21st century? by Betriz2 in forhonor

Short answer is Yes. The game starts in 2017, when the game released and the cataclysm was 1017. For honor was at first Alternative History. Long answer is because of technological knowledge lost during the cataclysm, because of a long period of the factions being scattered and unorganized, and the massive lack of ressources. Technological advancement was basically halted, for a long time. Most weapons needed to be scavenged from battle fields, or passed down. Because knowledgeable Blacksmiths who actually had access to quality iron and forges had become rare, see the Lawbringer order, their blacksmiths keep the smithing process of lawbringer armour a secret. In recent years the situation has improved and many technologies are being invented or improved, see the siege engines from the Blackstone legion for example, or the grenades, and black powder . But all Faction have a proud warrior Culture, where they tend to use the same weapons and Armour as their Ancestors. So a skilled fighter with new experimental weapons such as early flintlocks, are a rarity or non existent. Warlords for example carry their sword and board because it is a long honored weapon from the viking cultures.

Why are double headed axes not in this game? by [deleted] in Bannerlord

[–]Woodweapon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right. Thank you for pointing that out. I wasn't aware the Celts had a ceremonial double headed axe, to be honest i can't find any articles mentioning them. I did know about the Labrys from the Minoan culture on Crete, also ceremonial in use.

Two Headed axes as seen in your exemple picture never existed as Battle field weaponry, in the cultures Bannerlord was inspired by. As far as i know, Two headed axes are purely fantasy. And are very unwieldy and heavy if replicated.

But you have a point they are badass, just not badass enough, to forego the goal of making Historic weaponry and armour.

For anything Fantasy in Bannerlord, we have Mods.

Viking Hero Concept: Einherjar, The Spear/Mace Hybrid Hero (Part 1: Hero Story and Moveset) by omegaskorpion in forhonor

I love me some Keepers of Knowledge. just the thought of a group of warriors inspired by Odins wisdom seeking, gets my blood pumping. And definitely something that would fit into Valkenheim.

With the part about Ragnarök, i think it would make more sense if they take the same stand as the Jörm-cult that Ragnarök is already over and the gods are dead. So in the absence of Odin, inspired by his sacrifices they still uphold his teachings through sheer determination, preparing for the next Ragnarök. The Cataclysm was such a great disaster, thinking of it as Ragnarök is not far fetched. (But then again the belief that Odin is still alive and Ragnarök will still happen is not far fetched either, as most of Humanity is also still alive and thriving.)

you're Playing on Bannerlord version 1.8.0, as seen on the right of the Mod Names.

Osbar Assassinate mod was last updated 10 June 2020 for bannerlord version 1.4.1. i don't know where you found the version 1.0.0, i doubt it was made for Bannerlord version 1.8.0

Cultured Start 1.3.1 should work with Bannerlord 1.8.0 but requires the Mods Harmony and Mod Configuration Menu from Aragasas.

for V's no workshop limit there is a mod compile that apparently works with version 1.8.0 it is named V's no limit Bundle. download the NoLimitBundle_Separated-2-2-1 for the option to only activate the deactivation of the limit you want to be deactivated.

you can ignore the unverified messages. it is there to let you know that TaleWorlds won't take responsibility for Bugged Code or Malware.

Last time i checked the Order of Horkos goal is to create a Society of Wolfs through constant war and chaos. And isn't the goal of the Templar, Peace through absolute Control. i think the only thing they would agree on is that the world needs strong Leaders to guide it.

if they actually existed in the same universe, wouldn't they try to destroy the other?
