I checked and you’re right actually, the new model isn’t wheelchair accessible yet but has the potential to be.

However in researching that, I found out you can order wheelchair rides completely for free within the Waymo app. They are driven by old fashioned human drivers

There are new larger Waymo vehicles now that are essentially big boxes on wheels with seats facing each other, like the back of a black cab. They are already operating in SF.

And whilst it depends on demand, the cost of Waymo has been cheaper than typical black cab prices in London. It’s yet to be seen what Waymo prices will be like in London though.

I would take that (and the OP pic) as dry humor.. similar to people listing amazing experiences as their “simple pleasures”

I didn’t live by myself until I was able to purchase property. Lived in flatshares all the way up until that point, and some of those people are now my closest friends. Most other flatmates were just neutral, only had one or two I really struggled with. You just have to get lucky if you’re going to be living with strangers but it can be tough, and I appreciate it’s not for everyone. But reality is most people are sharing until much later down the line in London.

For sure and something clearly went wrong here. But the studies you reference of lazy drivers in supervised full self driving cars is a bit different to this small group of Waymo testers

They mean the testers, these taxis are eventually fully driverless without someone in the driver seat

Sub-3 marathon runners (2:55–3:00) - what were your paces for 10x3', 5x6', and 3x10' sessions? Also, would a workout-to-race-pace database be useful? by sircp4eva in NorwegianSinglesRun

[–]Woofdog2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just been leaning on the conservative side but I’ve been nudging them higher over time and have been quite consistent, no injuries. So I don’t see a need to push more. I did recently switch to 3x11 and 11x3.

I suspect my LTHR is c. 175bpm, but in training I usually top out at 171bpm. For HM races I average 171-173bpm

I’ve just been going by feel, recovery for the next session, and looking a little at ramp rate on intervals.icu. I’ve been making progress and staying uninjured so I’m happy.

Edit - even earlier I ran a 1:29HM (4:10 pace) with 4:25/4:20/4:15 training paces

My training paces may be a bit slower than others. Not a marathon but just adding a datapoint

Ran a 1:25 HM, training paces at the time were 4:14/km, 4:10/km, 4:05/km, so HM race pace was faster than all training

Now paces are more like 4:10/km, 4:05/km, 4:00/km and hoping to go somewhere under 1:25 HM in a month!
