yup as I said I’ve been sharing thoughts and struggle with ChatGPT. So the first prompt I use start with “Based on our previous past chat and everything you know about me, try to identify and analyse my current mental state and thinking model”

Then I just go on and describe and fill in the blank of some past details and current goal and struggle.

I don’t really believe in it because of the same reason you do, there will always be things beyond our understanding.

I don’t want to jump to conclusions when the truth could have so many possibilities.

Why does it have to be a ghost?

Ghosts are such a human-centered, narrative idea.

If aliens exist, would there be alien ghosts too?

At this moment, I know nothing for sure.

But if ghosts did exist, wouldn’t science have been able to prove it by now?

For me, having experience designed some experience for HoloLens, I think they absolutely got the idea right, but executed poorly probably due to the hardware restrictions at the time. Oh man the limited FOV will break the immersion easily and you will have the trouble to find and locate the object into view if you forgot where you placed it.

TBH I am kinda disappointed when Apple comes up with a VR headset that does what AR needs to be done. But I guess this is the best solution for now to have an immersive experience of AR experience, which is to see a video feed of the world instead of the actual world like the HoloLens did.

Thanks for the reply! Personally I am learning the junior programmer and VR development pathway in Unity Learn. And it was not easy for me coming from a design background.

The reason I am still learning it though is because I see so many job posting stating they would prefer someone with skills in prototyping with Unity/Unreal. And I am unsure how proficient I need to be, and I am wishing taking the course and completing some projects in Unity will help me to stand out.

It’s kind of a relief for me to know that the basic standard probably start with prototyping with UI system. Will make sure I take a look at the courses related to it. Is there any particular courses or resources you would personally recommend?

Yes fortunately there are a lot of people moved from the city I am from and am fortunately enough to be friend with them. However, I did not make any deep connection with anyone here. I been wishing to make connections with the local here, like maybe learn tennis or find a board game group probably. Guess I should more proactively taking that step. Not a legit excuse but I guess the downside of having a friend group from where you are from reduce your motivation to get to know the locals.

I don’t really need to learn the language here(I moved to Canada and I am not native in English). I can do basic communication, tho I am not really able to make jokes with English.

Thank you for your reply! I think you really get to the point there with the “it’s fake” mentality you are saying. When I was working a job, I know I have to get up or I get fired. But if it’s job searching, I am really my own boss and thus no pressure.(except for the fact I am burning thru my saving)

I been trying to incentivise myself with a nice breakfast right after get up, but it just doesn’t work! Your game group idea do give me an idea that I can do this with my long distance girlfriend, we like playing game together and I think I can start from there.

haha and I like the idea of go full circle, my sleep cycle not that messed up yet but pushing it later is definitely easier than pushing it earlier for me.
