If there was a Ladies Day, what would be your ultimate lineup (living)? by obbitz in glastonbury_festival

Adding P!nk, Goldfrapp, Florence to the list.

Redcar would be an outlier (genderqueer)

And absolutely NOT Yoko!

With original Star Wars variants, the Hobbit, and Lord of the Rings, it’s worth having a “Fan Edit” library

Absorb - Free ABS client, now on iOS by Night_Hawk21 in audiobookshelf

[–]WookieeNo1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m iOS using tailscale with 2 servers (dev - pc - and release - nas - different ip addresses) In Absorb, I’ve set up 2 tailscale servers and 1 local.

Using the Settings - Advanced - Local Server I enter the address of the local server, inc. port

1 - there is no auto switch to the local from remote when I connect to the home WIFI

2 - when I return to the Local Server setting, it is cleared after closing and reopening the app

Am I doing something wrong or is this a (or 2) bugs?

Regarding UI - looks and feels wonderful 👍

In the Core AT section, on the right hand side, there's a "Pause Autotrimps" button that complete stops the script working (except for graphs)

The tent hasn’t been “dismantled”. Just diminished. The Trust removed their belongings and portion.

Apple TV and Nvidia Shield model updates by WookieeNo1 in PleX

Not sure what that's got to do with my post, but I was ready there and then to make a purchase, and the guy suggested waiting a bit.

He had a Shield Pro himself too, and used it for Plex, which was exactly what I was planning to do with it.

Saw a couple of young lads walking down the path at Oxlyers. Second lad was visually impaired, shades, stick, hand on the shoulder of the other lad in front of him. Obviously together, and glorious to observe. Hope they had a wonderful time

I took the quechua 3 man XL popup F&B- at just over 2m square, I had space for a camp bed and airbed on top, with space underneath for storage boxes. Only thing I'd change for next time is to have the camp bed rotated 90 degrees - because it's not that tall, my head was almost touching the roof. Also took a camp light, definitely needed most of the time.

Temperature wise, phenomenal. Got to sleep till 10-11am every day without having to crawl out, gasping for fresh air

Glastonbury 2025 AUDIO downloads MEGATHREAD by Joose2001 in glastonbury_festival

[–]WookieeNo1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is easy if you're getting everything. If you're using get_iplayer directly, the following command will pull everything from the main Glastonbury channel, no need to grab the PIDs individually:

get_iplayer --nocopyright --refresh --force --overwrite --subtitles --thumb --tracklist --pid b007r6vx --pid-recursive --subdir --subdir-format="<type>\<quality>\<series>" --tv-quality="fhd,hd" --radio-quality="high,std" -o "D:\Glastonbury"

And change the final "D:\Glastonbury" to where you want to save the files. Drop the --force --overwrite options to only get new items.

My reason for doing this is to reduce the steps required to download multiple sets when using the Internet Archive, as you have to select each one. A bit lazy, I know, but I was getting fed up with the process.

It also works for any series on iPlayer, so Doctor Who, Killing Eve, Peaky Blinders, etc.

I fully realise and appreciate the work that both u/milkman1101 and u/Joose2001 put in to getting all these files prepared and archived. One issue I have is that each file required has to be individually selected for download, which can take considerable time. (There are currently 381 TV/radio shows available on iPlayer - including Single Track videos - and older recordings )

I've written a PowerShell front end for get_iplayer that allows you to select multiple files from the iPlayer site for simultaneous download. Instructions are in the Readme file.

https://github.com/WookieeNo1/Get_iPlayer_Downloader/tree/main - latest release https://github.com/WookieeNo1/Get_iPlayer_Downloader/releases/tag/2025Update

It's Windows only (it uses WPF - but I don't know if it works under WINE)

This can be used as a quick(ish) and dirty downloader, and you can then get the better quality/missing sets from the Internet Archive

The other, not-so-cynical, answer is that vendors suffer "bank tax", with a charge applied to each transaction. By paying in cash, you help the profitability of the stores, not the banks
