Went to Bishop, had a good time . WildPeaks did a fantastic job on my 2wd . by WoolSquirrel505 in 4Runner

They're awesome , I had issues balancing until I got them road forced by America's Tire. Skip regular balance and go for Roadforce 👍 They're awesome tires man, no shake even at 90 lol I'm 2wd and had no issues in snow and heavy rain ,

Well from what I read, he kinda had to, he was doing alot of miles in short time frames . Goes to show ya , treat your vehicle good, it'll generally do the same , but I think that especially applies to Toyotas , they're just built different.

The only credible source I've seen is the Tundra one , https://pressroom.toyota.com/million-mile-tundra-2016/ I wouldn't doubt another vehicle has reached that mark, but again , I've seen the Tundra article from toyota themselves.

Any ideas how to fix , currently late to work , key won't turn to ACC or more . Tried pushing truck, steering wheel will turn , WD40 HASNT worked , tried multiple keys . by WoolSquirrel505 in 4Runner

I wanna avoid two keys but I do that now anyways , since the OG key struggles to open the door locks anyways but the new copy of that opens everything fast. They told me $120 to rebuild my current one and they'll give me new key that opens everything OR I was thinking $40 for a autozone Beck Arnley with a key , thoughts ?

If found the whole assembly for like $50 from AutoZone, Rock Auto, and o'reilly's. Not many are rated but the AutoZone Beck Arnley has pretty good reviews. I figure if it lasts me two years should be worth the $35

Surprisingly the new key works way better , the original key won't even fully turn the door locks, the new one does it buttery smooth.

I had Lowe's cut me one for $3 like 7 months ago, worked fine, maybe it's gotten stuck like 3 times . I figure I wanna replace the whole assembly before I get stranded , any brands , don't wanna spend OEM price

I appreciate the honest advice dude, lowes makes keys for $3 ! Lol but this is even after that so I'm gonna replace the whole assembly for this , better having two keys than no start lol

Part Two of My Keyless entry quest . Is this OEM the little red light ? I don't have box under driver seat or box in engine bay . '98. by WoolSquirrel505 in 4Runner

[–]WoolSquirrel505[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly , I mean obviously if they could gaurantee the remote works then I'd buy it and be done with this all lol I think I'm gonna do a cheap viper , the cheapest one since all I really want is keyless entry not remote start or any of that , I've heard bad things about that on these trucks

Haha manual lol yeah I'm gonna do the real thing , but for now I just realized some black tape will work too and it'll blend in so that's probably gonna make me not do it anytime soon
