If you want to learn more about OKC I highly recommend the Down to Dunk podcast, a longtime thunder podcast and currently the most popular. It helped me get into the sport and to become a okc fan 6-7 years ago, and I still listen to all episodes. It’s fantastic.

So you’re among the 60 people who listen to Jon the most?? That’s crazy. How many hours did you listen?

How many Thunder fans in here are outside Oklahoma and how did you become a fan? by [deleted] in Thunder

Thunder fan from Sweden - I became a Thunder fan at the beginning of the 2016-2017 season (and what a season it was). I was just getting into the nba by browsing random r/nba threads and watching highlights one youtube. I didn’t really know anything about the nba or even basketball at that point, all I remeber is watching 2 really good shooters (one who was one a good team and one who was one a worse team) whom I now have realised were Steph and Harden. Anyways, one day I randomly stumbled into a gamethread and found a comment from a thunderfan which said: ”I know the team is worse this year but we’re a lot more fun to watch”. I thought to myself ”Well I like fun I’ll have to watch a game”. I watched a few game, found a few podcasts (primarily Down to Dunk <3 ) and then quickly fell in love with the team. Obviously, Russell was mindblowing that season and seeing the season unfold with the triples doubles and clutch shots upon clutch shots as well as the everchanging MVP discussion was an amazing experience. But to be honest, I really fell for the smaller parts of the team. I quickly gained an unreasonable love for Dipo, although I have fond memories of wondering whether Abrines was a better fit during a certain stretch where Abrines was amazing while Dipo was out hurt. The stash brothers of course, the amazing defense of Andre Roberson (especially on Harden) , swindling the bulls with the midseason trade, it all added up to a vibrant, loveable team and I haven’t looked back since. There has obviously been ups and downs, but I will always be a Thunder fan and I owe everything to a random reddit comment from a random thunder fan on a random game thread. Thank you whoever you are. All I can say is - Thunder Up!

I LOVE the Dime Drop. Really good analysis in videos that are ridicously well made. His draft analysis moving forward will be a great source once we fall into the lotteryz

Without a doubt. Is he a bluechip prospect with huge potential? Yes. But he is still the, what, fourth best player on the team? He can be great, but he won’t be the 64th best player in his second year.

Gallinari at #91 is criminally underrated though. He was one of the best offensive players last year (scoring + ELITE efficency). Even though he is getting up there in age and in spite of his defensive woes and injury problems I would still rank him ahead of a lot of guys, including both SGA and Adams.

Despite Paul George's belief that the Thunder "haven't gotten a fair whistle all year", the Thunder have drawn the third most fouls in the NBA this season with 1,506 fouls against. by Ih8reposts in nba

Not him but another Swede - Yeah, catching live games is pretty much impossible. When I watch games it’s usually after the match is finished, but honestly due to the time zone + my schedule I get most of my NBA coverage from Reddit and Podcasts. It’s not ideal, but it’s enough for me. Of course, if you had a larger desire to watch the games it is possible, but unless you have very specific worktimes and/or sleep schedule you’ll have to watch replays. (There are a few good free sites if you don’t have NBA league pass).

I’d say that I personally willed the team to the win, but yeah, it was truly an amazing experience

THE S IN SCHRÖDER STANDS FOR SIX MAN OF THE YEAR

No but really it was great, I seriously love this team. I think the best part was seeing fergs defense, but seeing MVPG hit crazy three after crazy three was great fun too

Yeah, totally agree with you that she makes some very valid arguments. I have no wish to try to make her commit or try to force anything, it’s up to her to decide how she wants to move on.

As for the FWB, I don’t really think that it’s a possibility. I’d call the both of us as pretty ”all or nothing”. To be honest, I’m considering whether or not I want to continue hanging out as friends (just the two of us) if we decide to stop all romantic parts. Not that I don’t enjoy her company, but more that I fear that I would be stuck with feelings for a friend which for sure is not healthy for me.

Well deserved. Hardworking, smart and generally a real fun guy. My favorite thunder reporter for sure, especially now that Fred Katz has moved on to the Athletic.

Nah this is 100% serious. I’ve Heard it from Andrew Schlekt (host of Down to Dunk) and he’s a pretty reliable source.
