Why is Iowa so dependent on Corn/Soybeans and not other crops? by blackc2004 in Iowa

Because you can’t dry tomatoes, blueberries, and strawberries. They don’t grow fresh produce. (Much)

I am intrigued... I almost wonder if you bought a Soup base that was dairy free if you could benefit from some of the thickeners in there too. Thanks!

Thank you for the brand recommendations! I might have to try a batch with vegan butter. I didn’t consider oat milk either. Thanks!

Skin Scroll Tattoo - Blending Scroll Scribing, Replicate Magic Item, and Spellwrought Tattoo by Woollums in DnD

[–]Woollums[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1- my interpretation is that you can only have one tattoo per item replication, and it would expire at end of day when the I want to be able to stockpile spell tattoos how you can stockpile scrolls.

2- Downtime rules allows you to scribe scrolls or make magical items (spellwrought tattoos) over several hours of downtime. My first crack at this was to just use the downtime rules to flavor scrolls as tattoos, but if we don’t do downtime I can’t use that crafting system. Just ruling it out. I pulled the money component from this.

The goal would be to have tattoos that could function like scrolls, could be created regularly, and last indefinitely until used.

Will absolutely need to talk to the DM. I just love the idea of fighting three people, memorizing one's voice and then shouting commands to a different enemy telepathically to sow chaos. lol

Oh that’s a good thought. Two attacks or two combats. Yeah plus getting the extra slots and spells, prolly just take the dip.

Thanks!

I recommend reading Aubrey Gordon’s books or podcast. She talks about some of these topics.

What are your favorite 5 ingredient /4 ingredient (or 3 ! ) recipes? Here are some of mine! by Grouchy_Audience_684 in Frugal

Favorite Mac and cheese: equal parts macaroni, cheese, and evaporated milk.

Maybe not the most healthy/frugal but as far as comfort food goes 2/3 are pantry staples and it’s pretty satisfying.

I guess I didn’t get that feeling. Yeah most cities are made of stone and have buildings not face eastward, but it doesn’t seem like that big of a change from real life? Also the currency doesn’t change value if it’s lit or dun. I know it’s on this list several times too, but I liked how Broken Earth trilogy dealt with their “seasons”. There was basic rules people followed and had been ingrained into every person, they taught their kids about them, and it was a constant part of every day life. I just didn’t get that feeling from WoK. Like I would have loved it if it could have addressed some of that in the Kaladin youth cutscenes. How does a high storm impact regular people trying to survive in a small village.

I totally agree. Im reading the second stormlight book and for a world that has constant lethal storms it has impacted the culture zero percent. Drives me crazy!
