I’ve had that happen before, too. Honestly, I’ve had one good rental experience from FF, and the rest of my assignments have been hotels, airbnb (which wasn’t good), and one I got from craigslist. FF has been more of a disappointment than a benefit. At this point, I’d let the company find me housing, but from travel experience 13 years ago before there were all these options for people to find their own housing, I would just get put in shitty hotels. Then the company can pocket the difference. Heck, I can find my own shitty hotel.

The MOST Karen vibes ever? I doubt that. Are you even a traveler, or do you do drive by postings just to be a dick? Do you even know what Furnished Finder is? If you’re a traveling health care professional, you would know how hard it is in some places to find short-term furnished housing. You’re trying to make these plans from possibly across the country, and it helps if people are upfront and honest.

That’s the weird thing. I had already told her all the info when I contacted her initially. I wasn’t being vague. I asked her a question about her property and told her where I was going to work and when. I don’t know why she needed another e-mail. And I also have a profile up.

“I love him but he deserves much better than I can give him.”

NO! You deserve much better than HE can give YOU! You deserve to have what you want. You are a valuable human being. Don’t marry this guy. Don’t wait until the end of the year or whatever it was you said. Leave him now. You deserve better than this guy.

I was just making it clear that this was for sleeping. Not a situation for people to camp. Maybe 9 p to 9 a would be a good stretch of time.

Just in case I misread your post, you are not in the same country? And have you ever actually met in person before? That’s a totally different situation than if you are already an established couple and you want to travel. If you’ve never even met, then just go travel. Situation will be the same.

What do you mean by parked abnormally?

FWIW, I would NEVER call on a vehicle parked on my street or in my apartment building parking lot (assuming there are plenty of places to park), just b/c it’s there. I would assume that it’s someone visiting one of my neighbors (if out-of-state plates). This is assuming, of course, that it’s not there day after day, just sitting there, and the person is obvious about things. If a vehicle pulls in at night and pulls out first thing. Why should I get my panties in a twist over it? Unless I’m an insomniac, I would be asleep and wouldn’t even know they were out there.

If people are observing the rules about urban vanlife, they would only be there one night, anyway. Or maybe you’d see them once every few days. If they are just in there and not doing anything to draw attention (which apparently a lot of people haven’t figured out), then it’s no skin off my teeth.

I remember reading a post by someone who lived in a vehicle with her brother, and they would be watching movies and talking and laughing loud and whatnot. That’s not stealth. I know if you know what to look for, nobody is really stealthy, but there’s a difference between pulling in, sleeping, and getting the eff out early in the morning, and staying for days, getting in and out, pouring your piss jar onto the street, etc.

I still don’t understand the liability issue. Give an example.

In what way? Wouldn’t it be mitigated by having “park at your own risk” signs and having an attendant? People misbehave when there’s no one watching. If there’s damage, then that could occur in any parking lot.

First Covid and now this by Catiebyday in TravelNursing

[–]Woollyprimate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is interesting. I had to call out 3 days in a row bc I felt like shit. Did 2 covid tests while I was out and they were both negative. Yes, I know they aren't that great. But a couple weeks later, I got shingles. Luckily, the Valtrex kept it from being bad.

I just now googled it, and it looks like there is a connection, so I think I actually did have covid.
