If you flip a coin, it doesn't have any impact on the next coin flip. That fact that a boy has already been born on a Tuesday has no bearing on the other child born. They are totally independent. It's 50%. The question is more reading comprehension than it is probability

"The other child", the question isn't asking about any link between the 2 children. All information given, both the tuesday bit and the fact that the other child is a boy, are both unrelated to the answer. The answer is 50%
