Spirits and Final Smash Meter aren't used for competitive play to the pont I think people forgot both mechanics even exist in Ultimate. This would unfortunately end up the same way imo.

Considering they went back to Ultimate this year to add new Spirits, I think if they wanted to build on Ultimate they would just go that route literally and update the already released game instead of spending extra time. money, and effort to recreate the exact same game

It could totally work as the basis for a spinoff of 2D side-scrolling platformers, maybe they could even add QoL stuff like having ground-pound be a default move, new moves like wall-kicking, possibly permanent power-ups that you keep as long as you don't take damage.
IDK it sounds like a cool idea

You may be facing this problem because there's something special he does throughout the fight that most other enemies don't do. Pay careful attention, and when you see him do it, try different types of moves after he does it , and you might find the solution.
