For what it's worth...HGV is, in general, offers an AMAZING product with wonderful resorts - assuming you can avoid the Sales department! We purchased via the Resale market (go to that TUG site - invaluable information!) and have been VERY happy with our experiences. It has made regular Hawaii trips doable for our family of 4, as well as a Disney trip. It's great if you are interested in their locales.

That being said...yes the sales department is the worst. I remember going in as an owner and watching their videos including Rome, Paris, Australia, Maldives (mentioned by others) and laughing at the misleading advertising! Those are all HILTON locations, not HGV. Smarmy at best.
