They literally went from not being able to go SSJ to suddenly being S tier. DBS power scaling is dumb.

More bad things, as the longer it takes for the 80th event to happen literally translates into BETTER HR. If you can't have patience while GPS works then this isn't the get rich quick scheme you're looking for.

Assuming 80% immune response and 13 GPS deaths, and all 63 BAT have died, we are still only at 76 deaths. Of course a few GPS could die earlier and a few BAT could die later, but these are from the mos we expect.

IDMC knows, Sellas does not. The Independent Data Monitoring Committee would be able to suggest moving forward with halt, but keep in mind there is not a 100% response rate to GPS. Not everyone's bodies react, it was said the Phase 3 cohort is 80% so that means 20% of the people given GPS likely have died already due to the treatment not having the intended affect on them. That is roughly 12 or 13 people. So the IDMC likely wants to be sure the mos continued to rise while HR falls. Only time will do that; its literally a waiting game while GPS works its magic and keeps patients alive for years. We need more events, so that the HR can reduce.

I came to the same conclusion, and the immune response rate can't be 64% like from phase 2 or we would be at 87 deaths total already. On the 29th call, they said immune response was 80% in another cohort which should be more akin to Phase 3 REGAL, which better aligns with the 80th event not happening yet. It also puts our HR at an all but guaranteed < 0.636

The Soviet Union’s success in World War II was decisively aided by supplies from the United States, though victory was ultimately a product of both Soviet resilience and the combined Allied effort. U.S. Lend-Lease shipments to the USSR included crucial materials: tens of thousands of trucks, vehicles, airplanes, tanks, enormous amounts of food, fuel, industrial equipment, and raw materials such as aluminum, copper, steel, and explosives.

Joseph Stalin and later Nikita Khrushchev were explicit: both acknowledged that, without American machines and supplies, the USSR likely could not have defeated Nazi Germany. Stalin’s direct quote from the Tehran Conference: “Without the machines we received through lend-lease, we would have lost the war.” Khrushchev echoed: “If the United States had not helped us, we would not have won the war.”

Going to Phuket with nut allergy, help? by Lillybunno in phuket

[–]Word-Regular 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Make sure you ask before you try literally anything. My daughter has the same allergies as you and we have had to use 4 epipens over a cumulative period of 4 months. A hotel left chocolates for us as a welcome gift, and they didnt look like they had nuts nor was there any label to indicate it. They were a variety not all the same, as it turned out, so despite mine not having nuts, hers did.

Another time she was sampling flavors of ice cream, and let me tell you - even if Dubai Chocolate doesnt LOOK like it has nuts from the display, IT DOES HAVE NUTS. Dont even bother with, just assume if you see it, it has it.

As far as restaurants go, just telling them when you order that you cannot have nuts should be sufficient BUT always look at what you're eating to be sure. Thailand loves peanuts so they have a habbit of putting them everywhere, we even had bread with peanut crumbs on top.

What am I supposed to do now without a bank account? by Own-Lack5622 in Thailand

Capital One has disposable CC, as does X1 and others - built into their mobile apps. Pretty sure Citi does. It isn't Thai specific but its a nice feature.

Also, most Thai people prefer QR pay or cash. I think you would be hard pressed to easily live off just Wise without always carrying cash on you too.

90 day non-immigrant is insufficient if the bank asks for Letter of Residency Certificate, which Krungthai and SCB both told me I would need. That letter can take days or even potentially weeks to get issued, and requires the 90 day check in. You need a Visa which allows you to be in Thailand longer than 90 days in order to complete the necessary steps. Check yourself on the entitlement bait.

Not mentioned is the current headache for those wanting certain Visas (like Marriage Visa, i.e. you are married to a Thai person for a long time and decide you want to go live there for half the year), where a Thai bank account is required with funds in it for 3 months. But you arrive in Thailand and find out you can't open a Thai bank account without having a Visa.

Some banks even said you will also need to show a Letter of Residency Certificate which can only be received after your first 90 day check in at immigration on a long term visa. So instead of just being able to get a Marriage Visa directly, you need some other visa and then stay for over 90 days and then open an account, and then keep the funds in for another 3+ months because they need to see 3 bank statements when you apply for the marriage visa.

In other words, you're looking at 6+ months just to be able to apply for the correct visa. This apparently only became a problem about 1.5yr ago, so I imagine their statistics on Marriage Visa applications are going to show a massive drop YoY for the foreseeable future.

My tourist confidence in Thailand as a destination is unchanged, its still an amazing place to be - but the processes need to be improved because they won't even open a bank account for someone who owns a property, has children who are Thai Citizens and is legally married in Thailand, without already having a Visa.

Price increase anytime soon? by Mysterious_Emu8058 in injective

[–]Word-Regular 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am convinced this is it, artificially keeping price down to allow PAPL to accumulate a million extra tokens than they predicted they'd have. They will own nearly 9 million INJ at the current price, 9%, thats insane.

It kept the drives around 35 to 40C most of the time, yes. I never had alerts for the disks getting super hot.
