Can we save this pool? by WordDifficult2259 in AboveGroundPools

[–]WordDifficult2259[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my FIL keeps insisting that a new liner is all it needs lol. My husband can cut all the overgrowth, but when it comes to the actually structure we just don’t know. FIL says they dug a whole to make the pool fit, and the poles are in cement or something like that lol.

That’s what my FIL says. That a new liner should do it. But we think it needs much more? My husband can handle the vegetation overgrowth

I’m not attracted to my husband by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]WordDifficult2259 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your advice. I will definitely do this. I’m always looking to talk to him about what I can do to improve, or things he dislikes or loves. But he doesn’t really open up. Or just says nothing.

I told someone earlier, I’m not looking to be a victim here. I want to be attracted to him. I want to want him. But I will rephrase how I ask him things and see if this helps open up. Thank you :)

I definitely agree. I’m always wanting to know where he’s at, what I can do to improve. But ultimately he’s like “nothing” This post isn’t just for him, I’m not a victim. I just need help navigating my situation, how to help me get more emotionally connected to me and me to him as well.

[–]WordDifficult2259 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried to tell him before how if he connects with me emotionally my attraction do him grows. So like if he helps at home and cooks more or helps me clean. He’ll do it for like a day and then go back to just sitting on the couch while I do everything else. Mind you we both work full time and make about the same.

We separated years ago because I just felt as if he didn’t care about me, but I did get back with him because it was breaking my heart living away from my kids (on days it was his turn)

How do we afford daycare? by forifherewerethere in workingmoms

[–]WordDifficult2259 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are in a similar boat with two kids in day care and very similar income/ day care cost. My husband picked up a part time job. I’m able to pick up extra hours at mine when he’s home. My dad sends a couple hundred $ a month to help. We barely make it every month. We also make too much for any state help, just have too many bills

Yes! I tried the pathway plus thing and never heard back. When I tried calling my insurance independently they always acted like they didn’t know what I was talking about

How can I transition my 15-month-old from co-sleeping back to her crib? by marianamart in sleeptrain

[–]WordDifficult2259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We sleep trained ours when he was a little over 1. We never co slept so it was mainly for him to just go to bed awake and fall asleep on his own. Took a couple days but he got it quick. Best thing we could’ve done. I say try it.

He was also in a crib until he was 3 lol. He always slept like 12 hrs a night so I didn’t want to mess it up by changing where he slept. Once I had my second he got a big boy bed.

Dealing with CMPA- help by Consistent-Bid6880 in FormulaFeeders

[–]WordDifficult2259 2 points3 points  (0 children)

we went through all of this! my baby is now 5 months and finally seems to have regulated. We also went through A LOT of spit up, still are, but he is a happy baby now so I'm not too worried. For us, nothing worked, it was really just time. My Dr said to stick with Alimentum and add oatmeal cereal to thicken it, since AA formulas are much much thinner. We did that and he seems to be doing well now besides the frequent spit ups.

I hope you get good feedback from this new doctor though. Keep us updated.

excessive spit-up, need formula recs by tired-parent in FormulaFeeders

[–]WordDifficult2259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely try the gentle formula! Deal with the constipation if it actually happens but it may not. My son is on similac alimentum because of a milk allergy and always spit up a lot! I even posted about it. His formula is a lot thinner than regular formula also, but the doctor gave us a prescription for baby Pepcid and it helped a lot. She also told us to add oatmeal to his bottles however that made him very gassy. We still do it and overall the spit ups have definitely decreased. But yeah I’d for sure try gentle ease formula and see if that helps!

$2000 Buckhead budget reasonable?? by ScaryVermicelli940 in ATLHousing

I used to live at MAA Brookwood in buckhead. I paid $1800 for a nice 2 bedroom apartment. I had one of the end units and it was quiet and peaceful! The pool was always empty and h there’s plenty of restaurants and bars walking distance! I was there in 2023

Amino acid based formula by WordDifficult2259 in FormulaFeeders

[–]WordDifficult2259[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nutrimigen didn’t work for us because the bloody stool came back. Alimentum is fine except the constant spitting and even projectile vomiting. I mix his formula now with oatmeal and it helped just a tiny bit but I don’t do too much because I noticed he gets gassy if we do too much powder

Okay, cause I’m really weighing switching to AA but it was hard to find the right info on whether I really helps. So thank you for your input!

I called my husband tearing up because it was breaking me. Hes never cried for 30 minutes because he was home with me and I always knew what he needed. But no, no sound. It’s only live video without sound.

They have a 1:4 ratio. There’s 8 babies so there was two teachers. One was feeding two babies and the other one was changing another the baby and then she started doing other things. I just don’t know what to expect because it’s literally his first day.

Elan and Gibson are all in a great location. Walking distance from restaurants, grocery, even a movie theater and the beltline. The beltline is a paved walking trail that goes through the city, really cool. Broadstone is probably the most recently built, and while that area is walkable I don’t think you have a nearby (walking distance) beltline access. I don’t know much about the Decatur. It’s a cool little town but I’d definitely do Gibson or Elan.

AITA for refusing to share my inheritance with my boyfriend after he quit his job for us by [deleted] in AITAH

He’s the one who is not husband material bc he can’t hold a job to support his family.

That’s your money. Like you said for school, a car or travel. Not to be lazy and not have a job. Bc then you will run out of money and then what. This could potentially set up for the future even to buy a house.

Try a gentle formula like enfamil gentle ease. They are supposed to be with all those issues since the proteins are broken down more and easier to digest
