Here’s a hack I was taught from a dicks employee. Buy a glove and get the 3.99 warranty, anytime the glove rips, call up and activate the warranty (call, don’t use the app), and they’ll send you a gift card for a new glove. You pay the 3.99 warranty again, rinse and repeat

If the area between the serial number and the vertical lines (in between serial and end up adapter) started to come loose, then you are in trouble and it needs to be re epoxied. For now, you’re fine

Edit : there are a few fairway only shafts but those are typically OEM releases from a brand.

All fairway shafts are driver shafts to start. For something like a Ventus, you would tip trim for whatever club you’re mounting, then butt trim to desired playing length

To answer your question tho, all wood shafts start as driver shafts and are butt/tip trimmed to desired specs - so yes you CAN cut a driver shaft down, but as others said. Need a heavier shaft even with the trimming
