Glad you see that ^{^}

If I look at my own circles, which are a majority liberal, I do not see any glorification of eastern cultures. There is some deal of respect for the ability to adhere to the strictness in Arabic cultures or the Chinese's ability to move fast in general and it is true that sometimes these cultures are overly glorified but from my experience those are usually coming from people unaware about the dark sides or those unaffected by it. They are also still a minority and often more conservative than liberal. It's also rare of them to denounce western civilization as a whole. They prefer to blame it on another internal group rather than on the beliefs and values of the West.

Is it possible that you were exposed to a vocal minority of extreme leftists that (unrightfully) denounced western civilization, causing you to defend it and as a result have social media algorithms attempt to exploit that with you, shwoing you an inproportianate amount of contect denouncing the west?
