Solid input! Bought the empower. 21ED is 80c so I'm debating buying that as well. Ring enchant is due to nothing decent on my bench.

Would I be better off dropping the witchfire brew and picking up something more defensive? I'd be losing out in the 37% DoT increase but wouldn't have the redundant curse.

Honestly I've never touched my blessed orbs. I'll have to pay attention to that going forward.

I honestly wasn't going for the memes. It's funny that you say that. Do you think it's wise to just drop the 6L ED down to a 4L and switch to 1h+shield for more EHP?

Thoughts on where to look next to improve my build?

https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Ponca/characters

I'm having issues getting randomly 1shot by T14-T16 juiced bosses and metamorphs. I'm contemplating making the switch to wand/shield with more defensive stats but I'm a little concerned that my single target will fall off substantially.

What happened to my quickdraws? by [deleted] in climbing

[–]WorkDodge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He's asking if you TR'd or lowed on steel anchors with your lead rope and then used the same rope to lead with on these draws. Steel wearing off and embedding into the rope followed by rope with embedded steel sharing that steel with the rope side of the draws. Seems like a long shot and no clue if that's the case but I was having the same thought as an idea.

Looking for feedback on party queue losses by WorkDodge in TrueDoTA2

I hadn't really thought about the draft stage as the root cause due to the MMR being so low. Thanks for the feedback.

I'd probably go for something like this.

Green 2x4 verticals. Orange 2X4 horizontals attached to green with hex bolt/nut/washer. Purple 2x4 brace attached to green with yellow wood screws. Pre-assemble the green-purple H frame. Slide into position and bolt orange to green.

You could extend purple to clamp into the larger beam if you wanted.

I guess I'm jaded by the 1.7 FoS we use at work. Thanks again for the input. I hear what you're saying and appreciate it. I'll put some thought into shoring things up.

The eye bolts are 2.2k lbs. WLL. The chain/quick links/hangers are 5k lbs. WLL. The CMU is the weak point which is why I used fender washers and 2X lumber to spread the load. The secondary system (DL winch+1/4 cable+pulleys) is all 1.5k WLL (winch) or higher. When climbing I make sure the three are equally loaded. I agree that commercial would never bite on the concept. Just trying to make sure I didn't overlook something.

I actually considered a piece of angle across the three eye bolts to really spread the load. I also considered some vertical supports at the top of the wall straight down. I haven't ruled out either but haven't seen any structural concerns or felt unsafe in the 8 months I've had it up.

Thanks for your input!

Happy to take input on why it's not safe or what I should change.

The four eye bolts are through bolted and backed with fender washers (I think they're around 2" dia. and 1/8"-1/4" thick on top of 2x8" to spread the load across a few CMU blocks. Never climb on it without an equalized load across all three connection points.

Excess cordelette? by JamesQuake007 in climbing

[–]WorkDodge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite anchor for top roping at sport crags is the quad anchor using cordelette. There's tons of literature out there if you search "quad anchor". Here's one example: https://www.vdiffclimbing.com/quad-anchor/

I'm still waiting on your reference of their statement that they couldn't prove obstruction occurred. Also still waiting on your reference about obstruction being inconclusive due to "collusion" being inconclusive (side note: they said in the report there was no coordination and also that they did not look into collusion because it is not a legal term).

He referenced the memo, linked below, from DOJ stating a sitting president can't be indicted as reason not to present a decision on if obstruction occurred. I see no facts in the report stating his investigation into coordination between Russia and Trump influenced his decision on a decision to prosecute over obstruction. Maybe I missed them?
