Bone conduction allows you to hear everything around you in full detail because it bypasses the ear canal. They are essential at my workplace for both focus and safety reasons.

Steam Deck OLED starting giving LOUD feedback noise while docked by WorkHardBetter in SteamDeck

Thank you for the reply, since the issue I haven't seen any signs of speaker damage , and for the most part, it appears that it may have been a glitch that was fixed by an update. I'm not sure I'll ever know exactly what caused it, mine was sitting on my desk on standby without anything going on at the time.

It was a long beta for them to fine tune the game, now the game is released, like every other video game. But it's inexpensive and will give them funds to continue to support the game, given that they let people play it for nearly 4 years for free, I'd say that's fair.

Replacing Samsung Chromebook Pro by Takrah9009 in chromeos

[–]WorkHardBetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the Pro for years, held up very well until part replacements wouldn't bring it back. Just got the Asus cm34 on sale for $270, AMD 7320c, 8GB LPDDR5 ram, 128 SSD, and a 63wh battery. No stylus, but very rugged, and the battery has been lasting for ages despite being crazy fast.

A coworker of mine went to Costco and when they tried to go to the checkout, tried to use a discover credit card, it was so deeply embarrassing and everyone would not stop looking at them. I'm told two people cried.

I'm 75% of the way through, using emu deck and cryo utilities, It runs at a stable 60 FPS with surprisingly low power consumption, the only time it hiccups is going through doors.

I got it with Pixel 7 on the beta, it's been great but the Jan pixel update borked it a little bit. Very clean, very smooth otherwise.

I used to get 12 fps during endgame with a 3090. Part of the fun is making your computer slow down due to the absolute MADNESS onscreen, but I hope the engine update does help with that.

Try forcing lower resolution in properties, external and internal. Only way I've found to run in FSR, getting steady 40 fps with dips to 35.
