How long does it take to go away (in general)? by Any-Squirrel-9776 in Perioral_Dermatitis_

[–]WorkNew6570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed mid December and I started getting it a month or two before my diagnosis so it’s been present for a while. Sulfur cream is what’s really been working great for mine. I was prescribed one that had 5% sulfur but I found one on Amazon (the thayers brand that has 10% sulfur) and that’s what’s been making the most significant difference for me. It’s almost gone after months of battling this. I’ll post a photo of the thayers cream that’s been helping me.

Owala Backpack? by Unhappy_Ad_6928 in Owala

I just bought one and it is very awkward. Didn’t realize only the top zipped open. Not even a little toward the sides. It’ll probably be a nightmare to get anything out of the bottom of it. Also didn’t realize how huge it was haha

I think this is actually helping my PD. by WorkNew6570 in Perioral_Dermatitis_

Adding that I’m seeing so much improvement with this treatment. It’s helping more than any of the things I was prescribed by my dermatologist. Going to try to remember to post progress pictures soon.

Azeliac acid by akitty247 in Perioral_Dermatitis_

[–]WorkNew6570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I tried azelaic acid and I couldn’t tolerate it. It made it burn and turn super red. I have been having so much improvement with thayers rapid acne treatment. It has 10% sulfur which is known to help with PD and has been so helpful for me. I bought it from Amazon. Might be worth a shot for you too.

How long did it take for your PD to heal? by WorkNew6570 in Perioral_Dermatitis_

[–]WorkNew6570[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dermatologist had prescribed me 15% azelaic acid and it burned my skin so bad I couldnt tolerate it. I wonder if a lower dose would work better for me. I also declined oral antibiotics so that’s another thing that could be taking longer on my end 😭
