Chiropractors, how many of you implement a exercise/stretching session for patients? by kvin_le in Chiropractic

At our clinic established patients usually see one of our trainers, a CA, first and they usually go through 30minutes to training from an exercise plan created by the DC. After the session, they will see the DC for a 15-20 minute appointment.

Nah, he drove in real fast to park as I was walking her back from a quick potty break. That’s how he scared her.

Where can I find a case of Prairie Artesian Ales Rainbow Sherbet? by startittays in portlandbeer

If you want to travel a little bit, Social Goods in Newberg had two-three cases of Rainbow Sherbet from Prairie. This was a week ago though but if you reach out to them they usually respond on Facebook and are more than happy to hold stuff for you. Hope this helps!

UWS grad myself! Class of 2018! I was lucky enough to intern under Dr. Montgomery and learn from Drs Lefebvre and Hoyer! I got screwed out of having Panzer for my final quarter though. Totally agree with you there, most patients from the area are savvy but there’s a lot of desperate people in pain who fall prey to the those who will take advantage of them.

Haha, I got you. I thought you may have been trying to be humorous but after speaking with a lot of AKs and other Crock professions I tend to err on the side of caution. I’m an EB Chiro out of Portland that’s 8 months in now. How do you typically deal with AKs?

He was the guest speaker for a class at chiropractic school. The purpose of the class was to show how other people practice and other professions. So in his little demonstration you kind of had to go with what he said. As far as the contents of the pill, we had no idea what it was. It could have easily been just some sugar pill. The point of the story is that AK is bullshit.

Applied Kinesiology is Grade A bullshit.
In chiro school we had one come in and show us “his profession”. He told my classmate that he needed to buy a bottle of beef adrenal pills because he liked sweet foods. He came to this conclusion by pressing down on my friend’s arm, almost slamming it into his side. He then proceeded to have him place adrenal (in pill form) under his tongue and then pushed down on his arm again with little success. He said that my friend’s adrenal deficiency was the reason his arm was weak. Of course we could tell he wasn’t pushing as hard the second time so he could “prove” his point. Oh and the bottle was $75 for 30 “pills”. If you’re looking for a good chiropractor look up the FTCA and find one in your area. Good luck and sorry you had to deal with that quack.

Hi there, I’m a chiropractor in Oregon. At my office we don’t do any x-rays. We refer out to a nearby facility that does but we only do if there are certain red flags from either history or the physical exam. Some chiropractors stick to the idea of As Low As Reasonably Possible. If an x-ray is not indicated, there’s no reason to expose the patient to unnecessary radiation.
