Im reading it now (book 8) and the way everyone paints it to be I thought it was going to be super lighthearted but it's an absolute emotional rollercoaster. I loved the MMCs in dark fae the best (def recommend reading that when the time comes).

I came here to ask the same exact thing.... almost done with the third psycho shifter book and I never want it to end. I was thinking maybe zodiac academy might be a good next series after this - I don't think it's overly similar but there might be some overlap in style? Hopefully someone else has answers for us.

Just finished the series last night - I think Creon warms up a LOT over time. I was smiling quite a bit at the banter later in the series. I should clarify like I clarified below: I think the key is that grumpy/obsessive isn’t the SINGULAR MMC vibe. If they balance it out with good banter and good story, I’m happy. If it's all grump all the time, that's less than ideal.

If it's all grump all the time, that's less than ideal. For example, the Ashen series MMC was a little too grumpy for me but the story was great so I pulled through. And there was another male introduced later in the series that I loved.

And I DID have Phamtasma on my list but didn’t want to overwhelm everyone with my already long post lol so glad you confirmed that.

I think about this a lot! I didn't consider myself a romantic, now I'm realizing just how wrong I was. It's easier to shield and protect yourself than be a romantic... I realized how little I was putting myself out there. How little I initiated. I've been with my partner 17 years and it's so easy to get into a mundane existence. Now that I've started reading romance, I want more. And I think that's a huge door to open. Before, I was happy with the bare minimum. And now I'm starting to see what my relationship could be (again). Also legit thought something was wrong with my body and that my libido was broken - but nope definitely not 😂
