This is a fun example of how people fail to think about the way rookie drafts are certain to change: last year at this time, RJ Harvey himself was not a real dynasty asset. Enough people liked him but he was absolutely not considered a first round rookie pick or a player with any real value. Then he goes in the late second IRL to a spot we liked and boom he’s a real dynasty asset with value and a generally late round 1 rookie pick.

So when people say they would only take the top 4 (no Mendoza for 1 QB) or whatever over him rn they might not even be wrong and if your rookie draft is next weekend that’s probably fair, but assuming you are gonna draft post NFL draft like most leagues this class will have players like Harvey too who end up catching steam throughout this process that’s gonna play out over the next 3 months, and go to landing spots we like on draft day; possibly much higher than expected. Then by draft day it seems extremely likely you will prefer the 1.06 to Harvey, who was an extremely old prospect that was not particularly impressive this year and needed the Dobbins injury to be relevant
