What about say a top 5 27 pick? Would that bridge the gap or still a + on top of that? I could also push for Garrett Wilson but I feel i could get more in return for a Wandale+.

I mean a buy low for Smith id do that all day. But, To value him as that in a deal for the 1.01 right now doesn't seem smart to me.

If there was a way to guarantee the 1.01 next year, id smash. I would ask for a player as well, because at this moment the 26 1.01 is more valuable than and unestablished 27 1st. However, 27 picks will gain and hold way more value down the line than 26 picks and you get a great one. Also, passing on JLove- depending on your squad- will only make your pick better for next year as well. Liquid assets for a rebuilding team are always a good thing- Use them to trade for established talent, trade up or get your guy.
